Lombard, Lombard, IL 60148 Thu Feb 02, 2006

My phone has worked fine except for past 2 days. My phone enters and leaves service area every few seconds. I cannot receive incoming calls nor can I make any outgoing calls!

Cingular works fine when I travel outside of Chicago. However, in my office (60606) and at home, the reception is hoorendous.

Reception at home in Pilsen has become increasingly spotty over the last few months, with long, inexplicable periods of 'No Service', punctuated by single, teasing bars of reception which disappear as quickly as they appear. My current Serviceless period is now going on at least 12 hours. Even when the network is available, the call-quality here is, lately, often well below standard (where "standard" = the quality I've come to expect in the five years I've lived in this neighborhood, though perhaps it's worth noting that I'm a former AT&T Wireless customer. Cingular seems to be dropping this ball). Service and reception at work (in the Loop) is generally fine; this is a localized phenomenon.

I-64, Nashville, IL 62263 Wed Jan 25, 2006

WE live right next to I-64 and no longer have any service at home. We find dead spots all over the area. I can't wait to get a different cell provider.

Lost service on January 22,2006. Worked O.K. since September when I moved into the area. My phones are still out. Works O.K. about 5 miles out of town.

5 Mile Radius East of Chebanse / In the Town of Chebanse intersection, Chebanse, IL 60922 Sun Jan 22, 2006

Cingular was bad - Verizon is worse! Little to no signal at all times. Customer service has no solution. I am stuck for 2 years with 2 phones that are virtually worthless unless I am going to Chicago.

Can barely get reception some of the time on 2nd floor. It works great outside. Too bad it is winter. It works great in Bridgeport near US Cellular FIeld. Maybe they can afford a tower there

Carlinville, IL, Carlinville, IL 62626 Tue Jan 10, 2006

There is no reception for any kind of service in this area except Cingular. Even Cingular looses signal after about a 10 mile radius around town. Verizon and Sprint should consider collocating unto the existing Cingular tower since there is currently no compitetion in this area.

On almost the entire campus, I get nothing but dropped calls, horrible reception, and "no service" notifications half the time.
