I can't get any reception in the north east portion of Oak Park, IL. I have to drive down south towards Lake st and go west for a few blocks to get 5 bars of reception. Can something be done to get better reception in North eastern Oak Park,IL?

The reception stinks in Loraine. They have known about this for years and they told me that it would take 5 years to put a tower up. I ask them how long they knew about this being a dead area and they told me about 10 years. Still no tower???? Doesn't make sense to me.

When I'm in my house and streets surrounding this I have either no signal or a very crappy connection. Don't get T-Mobile if you're in this area, if you actually want to use your phone that is.

Been with AT&T for over 5yrs. Since they switched to Cingular and this new GSM, I get no reception at all. I can successfully use my phone for txt-msgs only. Talking is impossible, although the phone reveals full strength. Ridiculious service.

Nextel service is terrible - basically in all of Chicago. Most call I try to make, it takes me 3 or 4 tries because of network errors. Nextel's engineering department does nothing to fix the problem. I am about to switch from Nextel, but find that there is likely not a better choice.

Nextel has almost no reception through many areas of Plainfield and Minooka. You will be on a phone call and the call gets dropped and the phone goes to no service most of the time.

Cingular coverage is absolutely terrible. I just switched from Nextel with an i730 to Cingular with a RAZR. I went from average coverage in my house and good coverage in the neighborhood to no reception in my house and poor reception in the neighborhood. Walking around the neighborhood yields similar results with a many block radius. Beware.
