I have only had the iphone 3Gs since March '10 but I had a Motorola Q before that and it was no better. I listed "0" reception but sometimes it does show "1" bar but that isn't enough for you to keep a phone conversation going. No texting or surfing the web either of course. ATT needs to put a new tower in on the WEST side of Marion, where all the growth is. Maybe near the Heartland Regional Medical Center area. I would also like to know when we are going to get 3G service. I've seen it in much smaller markets already, why not Marion?

If you live in north Lombard / Villa Park do not go with Sprint. They did have acceptable signal until spring this year when they activated a new tower. Sounds odd how a new tower could cause a dead zone? When the new tower / antenna is directed opposite from you and caused the neighboring tower / antenna (your old signal giver) to be directed away also as to not have wide signal overlap. Given the two are directed to Addison and Elmhurst / 83 respectively, there must be more subs in that area.

I dropped ATT because I would lose reception driving down Main St. I had to stand outside my house (on Main St) to stand a chance of reception at all.

Occasionally I can receive text messages from my daughters, but I can't reply and virtually have no signal strength for outgoing calls or text. 0 Bars anywhere in my house. Have to go to the middle of the street to get some bars.

I was tricked by Cell-one to signing a three year contract with the understanding there was going to be a tower put up starting at the first of the year. It is now the middle of June, and I pay $130.00 a month for two phones that I don't even get reception to use them unless I leave town. They haven't even broke ground on this "Tower" yet. it really is frustrating knowing I am just throwing my money away to a company that makes nothing but empty promises, and cuts off the world from technology we should be entitled to. there was even a patition passed by alot of people, but I still get my voicemail three days late.

I drop calls every single day, multiple times. I can only use my phone if I'm near a window or on the balcony at home and even then, its kind of sketchy. I'm guaranteed to drop calls at least three times every day on my way home from work on 55...its not like its some rural road, its the stevenson expressway! I hate turd-mobile and would not recommend it to anyone. i've been counting the days until my contract expires for two years now.

Cannot make / receive calls more than half of the time I want / need to. I work in a stripmall with an AT&T store no more than 300 yards away, yet drop calls at work constantly. My home is even worse. I cannot get calls, receive voicemails days later, and everytime I try to make calls, I get the "Emergency Calls Only" message. I am sick and tired of AT&T, and cannot wait to get away from them! Hopefully, in the near future the iPhone follows me away from AT&T!

I'll be lucky if I get 1 bar of AT&T reception by standing still in one spot for a few minutes. Moving is out of the question.
