No reception at ALL at my house in the center of town, just off of US 52 and Union Street. I had a party two days ago, Verizon and Sprint phones had FULL bars in my house, Cingular had decent reception. There were three T-Mobile phones, none had ANY reception.
Verizon is a big crap here at West Lafayette. No reception in stores like Walmart, Payless, and Marsh. Stick with Cingular, Sprint, or T-Mobile. They are Perfect around here.
AT&T sucks at Purdue University, don't ever get AT&T. It works great outside of campus, but if you're a student and you're on campus, you won't get reception at all, Stick with either Cingular or T-Mobile. In my opinion T-Mobile is the best there. Verizon doesn't even have reception, althought they are planning to build new towers in the locations by summer. Basically AT&T sucks!
They claim on the map that we are very close to the tower, but I have to drive 1-2 miles out of town to even get 1 bar. Then when I called to see if they have any phones that get better reception, they say that we are not really in their area of service. First they tell us we are in their digital service area and then it's the GSM area of service. Nobody can make up their mind about which service until one techie says, "Oh, you aren't in our service area at all. The tower is about 20 some miles away. NICE!!!!! Idiots.
