Our area as always been a complete dead spot, but a few months ago they put up [the base of, anyway] a new cell phone tower at the end of our road just off of SR 46 about a mile from our house (you can literally see it from the highway). It's been up for almost 6 months now and there's still no antenna on top. The warning lights and all that are working fine - but no one seems to know when the darn thing will be [if ever] functional. Anyone have a clue if the builders jumped ship? Pretty much all along Garrard Chapel and even Jordan Village Rd. there's no signal. So don't break down in this area...

We used to have only the occasional dropped call when using our phone from our home. We got new phones last spring and now we are constantly having "breaking up" or completely dropped calls. Checked with Verison and were told we have the best phones. Thinking towers in our area are now fewer or weaker. Normally shows "0" towers when trying to place a call. Want to use the cell phone from home as most areas are long distance and this takes care of that problem. But no more as we've had to often use the land phone instead. Please improve the towers in our area or add more.
I could not believe I was in downtown Indy on Maryland St., in Champions, upstairs in the Marriott and no signal. I needed to make a call and a guy on T-Mobile let me use his phone. I'll be switching to somehing else soon.
I'm lucky when I get one bar on a clear day in Granger, IN. When inside I have no hope to ever get a signal. A new tower just went up about a mile from my house, but Verizon chose not to co-locate on it. Here I come AT&T!
Don't get the Niles / northern SB, IN area! Area just N. of IN / MI state line, about 4-5 miles N, dead zone, even on 331 and the 31 Bypass--no reception, N. all the way to Berrien Springs (maybe further). No reception extends to at least bypass to west, and past Barron Lake Rd to east
Princeton Court apartments and I get lucky if I get two bars. I can never hear anyone and have to basically hang out of my window to talk to people. The phone sucks too, but its mainly Verizon from what I hear from other people in the area.

Dont know what it is, but for 2-3 miles by the State Police post you won't have any signal. Except for there, the coverage is great. Too bad I live near the post.
Can not even get a signal or the network anywhere in town. Have to go clear out past the truck stop or past the airbase to get any use of the phone. Its been like this for 2+ years
