this entire area is either completely dead or one bar and absolutely no 3G. most of johnston and grimes is only 1-bar of edge or dead. AT&T, please get with it or i'm switching. my whole family has Verizon and they have full reception out here.
"More bars in more places" - not so much. No signal in "best" coverage area. I realize the coverage map is just an estimation, but it couldn't more incorrect. It's like me saying the sky is orange, and then following that with a disclaimer that my observation of the sky was just an estimation.
At&t is horrible! I can't use it in my house or office and I drop calls on Ashworth Road. I got an iphone and went back three days later because the service was sooo bad and they said " Oh yeah, AT&T sucks in Des Moines." FYI... AT&T put repeaters in all of the Apple stores before the iphone came out to insure that the phones would have good service in the store but onces you got out you are SCREWED!
no bars go to grays lake 2 bars tried 4 different model of phones dropped Sprint and went with Cingular biggest mistake I ever made. family member died and recieved voicemail 6 hours after the fact
no reception at all with AT&T anywhere in the city, I called them and they say they are working on the problem. I have 3 other friends with iphones with AT&T and they have the same problem. We have to drive to the interstate or muscatine to get a signal
No cingular / AT&T service around ankeny, and between Elkart and Nevada. Also, poor service in many areas on I-80 between Des Moines and Council Bluffs.
