Absolutely no reception anywhere in town until you are about two miles toward Cedar Falls. US Cellular works the best. Also, Verizon worked but could be spotty.
I get dropped calls anywhere it has moderate coverage on the Cingular coverage map. I think as I travel and cross from one tower to the next, my phone can't find the next tower. I purchased an external antenna from Radio shack and get 5 bars all the time now right up until the network drops me. I'm looking at other networks at the moment.
I can't believe I have thousands or rollover minutes with Cingular! The reason is I can't make any call from either my home or my office. The only way if you want to make a call is to go out to a street. It's a 100% aweful service. The biggest mistake I made was they traped me by signing 2 years contract with me. With my personal experience, do not do the two following things: 1. DO NOT sign up with Cingular if you live in Des Moines. You will regret it. 2. DO NOT sign 2 years contract with any cell company. Give yourself a chance so you can cacel it sooner if you don't like it.
No phone reception at our house on any phone that is ever used here. It's like the dead zone. Friends come over and lots of time their phones don't work here either.

I do get good reception all around Davenport. But I get no reception at my own home. You would think we would get great reception living on top of a hill but the Sprint people say that we have to much foilage around our house. Yet there is only one tree next to our home.So if you live in a house with trees around it I sugest that you don't use Sprint if you want to use your cell phone at home
