Alltell assured me that I would have reception in Atchison. I interviewed for a job in December 08 and had good reception, got the job, moved in May of 09 and I have absolutely NO service whatsoever. They supposedly sent an engineer out to check the coverage in the area, from which I never heard back about. They finally had to let me out of my contract.

I have always had good reception in Atchison, KS but now since the merger with Verizon, I get no service at all. I understand that with a cell service that there will be dead spots. I am paying for nationwide service and am not able to get service in a place where I use to have service. I feel that something needs to be done to get this service back. Why should my service be jepordized by the merger. I pay my bills and have been a loyal paying customer for 7 years. Please get something taken care of.

we had great service in atchison ks. with Alltel. after the merger to Verizon in early 2009 we get no service period.

none of the phones in our family had coverage in this entire area. Called and complained and they said we should have coverage but 6 phones had no bars and they all had different prefixes!

alltel has no reception east of wray co. to benkelman, ne from champion ne, to st. francis, ks they have never had reception here it covers about 150 square miles, it is an emberrasement of a company hopefully Verizon can fix it

Altell no reception in home or around town. Small spots of reception outdoors, but very spotty.

Alltel service SUCKS here. I struggle to get any service at all - I've found at least one spot in my house that gets texting service. and that's about it. Lyons, KS about 10 miles west of Little River has their own tower - and that's probably where we get our "service" from. Windom - 10 miles east of us, gets a little service. If you live in LR, (which is very few people) DO NOT get alltel. Sprint, Verizon Wireless, US Cellular get perfect service here though. go with them instead

Service in virtually non existant yet Alltel tell you that it is covered. Have to get in just the right spot in the back yoard an then can connect for a few moments. Their people came out and checked and said the same thing, no service. Alltel still wants 200.00 a phone to cancell so don't beleive thier hype about coverage area in Central or Western Kansas.

Poor coverage on the street with garbled audio and frequent drops. Even worse in the car with same symptoms as on the street, but more frequent. No reception inside the house at all. Customer Service is very un-professional.

For the "newest and best" phone for reception, it sucks, so far Motorola 815 has been the best, and I now have to find a hilltop with it.
