Service in virtually non existant yet Alltel tell you that it is covered. Have to get in just the right spot in the back yoard an then can connect for a few moments. Their people came out and checked and said the same thing, no service. Alltel still wants 200.00 a phone to cancell so don't beleive thier hype about coverage area in Central or Western Kansas.

Poor coverage on the street with garbled audio and frequent drops. Even worse in the car with same symptoms as on the street, but more frequent. No reception inside the house at all. Customer Service is very un-professional.

For the "newest and best" phone for reception, it sucks, so far Motorola 815 has been the best, and I now have to find a hilltop with it.

Alltel has little to no reception in most of Atchison County. It does show this on their coverage map, that they have limited reception.

Blue Rapids is in a valley,to get reception,you have to drive to the top of the hill.Altell does not have a tower within 20 miles of us,only cellularone

We have a company in this area, and cell phones are a very necessary item to make our business successful. We have been with Alltell for many years. There is NO reception with any kind of cell phone or company. We are 12 miles from Newton and when you get 2 miles out of Newton it just won't work. It is extremely aggravating, because what good is a cell phone if it doesn't work? If you're lucky - you can sometimes call out, but either you have a dropped call or outrageous roaming charges.

We are not pleased at all with Alltel. We have been to all the Alltel service locations trying to get help with our reception problems out here and all we get are excuses. We've bought more expensive phones, we've switched carriers from Alltel, sprint, and Verizon wireless and no wireless provider works out here. All providers say their phones, towers, and service is the best. Yeah right! We're sick of the monthly charges, poor service, no coverage, dropped calls constantly and they continue to advertise, "come get your love" Ha! I pray night and day someday soon, a cellphone company moves into this area a takes over RENO CO. by storm and gives Alltel a big marathon run for their money! Make them shove their money where their mouth is. People are tired of being ripped off. We've been told that Alltel bought up an enormous amt. of towers hoping to be the biggest wireless network nationwide and now they do not have the manpower to maintain / service them. I am hoping that many people read my comments before purchasing from Alltel. I have searched long and hard to find a way to get the message out there to NOT purchase your wireless plan from Alltel. You will be sorry. PLEASE HEED THIS MESSAGE!

occasionally depending on wht way you turned you could get a couple bars analog but you could nvr call anyone with that kind of service

There is no reception in Ashland with Alltel. The new United Communications cell service is great though! I have 4 / 5 bars sitting in my house on the south side of town. Was really happy to tell Alltel good bye!

I've been with Alltel for over 6 years and the coverage and service is getting worse every year. I,ve contacted them and they said they sent a "TECH" out and it was ok. I dont think he was in Kingman County. Norwich is dead zone or Analog, Cheney Lake area is same, Kingamn State lake is no service at all and thats ten feet in front of there new tower. Cunningham is very poor or no service. The bad thing about it is that they do have towers here but I think there are so many other new towers from other companys going up that Alltel is not keeping up. So when my contract runs out in a few month I will be forced to swich Companys Sorry Alltel but you need to SH*** or get off the pot.
