Sprint gives me the worst reception in Alma and also many other places as well. My friends and family have Verizon wireless and they are able to use their phones in Alma. Why does Sprint rip you off by saying they have the best service throughout. I can't wait to get rid of Sprint service.

Clearwater has no cell reception for being a bedroom community to Wichita... can analog roam and etc. on my new Sanyo, but single-band is in the dark. This is due to change. In less than a year I'll be living in the shadow of a 200' tall Verizon tower, so maybe (just maybe) they'll piggyback a Sprint repeater on it.
Sprint is the worst carrier I have ever had. Drive anywhere outside the city limits and your call is dropped. Don't even think of traveling. My friends have CellularOne and Alltel and have no problem.
Once you drive outside of town approximatley 1-5 miles you have no Sprint reception. You can go into roam (And pay $0.99 roaming fee and $0.59 long distance charge) and get limited to very poor conncection to Alltel's network! My advice is this... if you live in the Midwest and plan to travel to any small town outside of a metropolitan area (For Kansas that's only Kansas City, Wichita, and Topeka) get an Alltel phone. The towns are there from one side of the state to the other. If you ask Sprint if you have service in a small town, they will say "yes," but in reality that only means at your home address. They have "0" rural towers. And Sprints HQ's are in Kansas!
