I travel from Calvert City Ky to Metropolis Ill. The reception is intermittent. Cingular needs to put a tower near Ky Oaks Mall that will provide service inside the mall and the low lying area around the mall. Also, when you are travelling I24 toward Illinois as soon as you round the curve before the bridge the service drops. I work at the casino in Metropolis Illinois and there is not signal at the casino or on the parking lot. Cingular needs to put a tower west of paducah that probably solve a lot of problems in metropolis and paducah. Before they changed some of the tower signal I was able to get service in Metropolis. I use the phone as a means to be contacted while at the casino and I need service there.
For a company like Cingular to claim they have the all over network, seems like one big lie to me. I get zero coverage at home, my wife is on Sprint and gets full coverage! Worst still, my business is very near the Interstate exit 29 on I-75 and I get very poor coverage there too. If I had known this I would have not gone with cingular. When I went back to the store to tell them of the problems they said that the network does not cover the whole area that I work in or live in, any signal strength I do get is from towers further away. So why I ask are there so many Cingualr dealers in Corbin in the first place, seems to me that there are more stores than signal towers.
Hey Sprint PCS you guys need to put up more towers in western ky areas we need towers in Mayfield,Fulton,La Center,Wickliffe,Marion,Salem,Burna,Tiline, bardwell, barlow you guys are together with Nextel you need to make your service better to get more customers and also bandana,ky.
I agree with much of what has been said about no service with Cingular. I moved to Sand Gap from Berea and lost all reception. There is nothing past Indian Fort Theater on Hwy. 21 and most of the time even when I'm in Berea, I have poor if any reception. Have read a lot about older Nokias and the Motorola V60. May go that route. Cingular told me they have medium coverage in my area, but that all of the trees might be hindering the reception. Yeah, I guess that's it!

Reception is nothing between Jefferson County and Taylorsville. It is spotty in some places but no service most of the time. Service in Louisville and Taylorsville both are excellent. No problems.

This area truly needs a cell tower. I know in the winter when the lines freeze and snap we have no hard line / home phone service for days at a time. The reception is minimal at best. I am aware of a great location just down the road west of me. It is the last parcel of open land on the west side of the street, just before Laketon Rd.drives down in to the bottoms. I am not sure the owner would be willing, but its only 1 1 / 2 acres with an open shed housing a combine and some implements. It is on the bluff overlooking the Mississippi river valley into Missouri. This tower could help Cingular users in Western Kentucky, Eastern Missouri, Southern Illinois, and possibly parts of Tennessee and Arkansas. -Harney Forkelsteen, Laketon, Ky.-

At this intersection a school is located (Pine Mountain Settlement School). Visitors and persons staying there along with this whole area have no or very little reception. WE NEED MORE TOWERS! It would be nice to be able just to connect so we could say can you hear me now.
