Why is such a large population area void of cell service? 5 Major marinas and many subdivisions and no service in this popular play lake.

I have no reception at my home and for at least 7 miles in either direction. I'm going to have to change my phone service because of this. My phone bill is way to high to not be able to use it at home. I don't see why AT&T can't put a tower in this location. I hear people complaining about this all the time. They're going to lose a lot of customers!

I live right on the Clay and Laurel county line. No reception after you pass Jimbo's grocery on East 80 all the way until you get to Manchester Walmart.... This service blows out there... Don't recommend to anyone. There are dead spots all over the county as well... I drop calls every few miles. Be on the phone and look, dropped call. Then not 10 feet later I got full bars again. It's a joke.. can't believe I pay for it!

US 60 East, Grayson, KY 41143 Wed Aug 19, 2009

I had been with Cinular since they came to the area back in the early 2000 never had trouble with service at all. I have lived in the same house since then as well, now I can't keep a call at all. Every time I get on my cell it drops me. They made all these cell phones 3G and now you can't get coverage, come to find out there are no towers close to support the area. That came from AT&T the closest towers are in Ashland and in Greenup. At&T say's that they will can't do any thing unless people start calling in and insisting they put a new tower in here. I think it is pretty bad that I never had a problem befor but I do now and the fact that they know this area does not have good coverage yet they still sell every one their plans then you are stuck because most always singns a 2yr contract when they start with them. To beat it all they even have a AT&T cell store in Grayson and have no coverage in most areas, that is pretty sad!

Rosetta Corners Rd., Irvington, KY 40146 Sun Mar 29, 2009

Moved to Irvington with service from ATT and a 3G phone. No coverage at all on 333 (Big Springs), 690 (Bewleyville) or Rosetta Corners. They claim there is service here but I offered to let them come out and check. There is a cell tower located 3 miles from my house. I loved having ATT service but had to switch to Bluegrass Cellular and in my yard I will get 1-2 bars if I lean my head a certain way! Sprint and Verizon do not work here either (at my house). The commercials lie, dead zones are everywhere out here, what a shame. Are we not entitled to have a good cell phone carrier just because we live in a rural area? Same goes for internet...
