It's time they got a couple of towers out here as this place is overrun with foreigners on vacation from Michigan and Ohio. At least those foreigners might help get us some decent modern services. These clown cell phone companies think we natives can't figure out how to use a cell phone.
Going with listing below, Cell One has plenty of service North, but 0 going south on Kentucky / Tennessee Border.

I have had No reception at my residence since moving IN 7 years ago, But I became really I-rate when my truck broke down and no cell service, and a few weeks later I was on call at work, came home and found that the phone comp. was off for repairs in my area, so I had to go back to work for 12hrs off the clock not getting paid so I could be on call. I have been Promised and Promised that the coverage area would increase but have yet to see any improvements as of yet, when you leave the Albany, KY city limits going North on Hwy. 127 or East or West on Hwy. 90, but when you start heading South Before You Even Get Out Of The City Limits you lose about Half your Service Bars, and After You Get Out Of The City Limits NO SERVICE, this has never changed that I am aware of and I have contacted Cellular One before and also recently yet they still have no plans what so ever in place to ensure that our residents SW, SE, or S. toward the Tennessee / Kentucky Border have Cell Service and if Money is tight for some as it is me then I could use the extra $45 a month that I am currently paying for my home phone. If you feal the same and your a Cell One customer please let them know!
Drop Calls... At&t is Number 1! I don't get road rage... I get cell phone rage. I am counting the seconds down until I can switch to a carrier that will not drop a call every other block!

Verizon worked fairly well for 3 years. Then we lost any signal, they said we were in a no service area. Cingular seemed to work for neighbors, we borrowed a phone and were able to get a signal throughout the house. Therefor we switched to Cingular (with a lot of grief because we wanted to keep our out of state numbers since the phones are used for business). This was shortly after AT&T bought Cingular. Everything was great for a couple of weeks, then we started getting NO SERVICE on the phones. Our neighbors with AT&T lost service also. Finally someone was told that they had boosted their signal at the tower and the FCC made them reduce it again. I was told we live in a no service area and should have been told that before I switched. Guess I will go back to Verizon once the contract is up. Mean time I bought a Z Boost Wireless Extender and mounted the antenna outside on the roof. It worked great for 2 weeks and then died. Now I am back to no service.
