Here is a sad but funny---and true comment. We lived just outside DeRidder, on the South side, and had somewhat fair reception in town only dropping 3 calls to cross town. The service at our house was REALLY bad and the only way to make or receive a call was to kneel down at a North facing window with the phone DIRECTLY in the middle at the bottom of the window. ONE------sixteenth of an inch to the right or left and the phone would not work or a call would be dropped. After MANY, MANY, MANY, calls to Sprint with complaints, going to Sprint Service Centers to have the phones checked, and getting new phones, I was informed that my house was not really in the Sprint calling area. This is after being a Sprint customer for years. I was informed that Sprint was planning to build a tower near. NEAR------ the closest SPRINT tower to Deridder or Leesville is not where a person of sound mind would think it would be---in one of the two towns. I have just moved to Pitkin, La. and of course other phones work but not Sprint. So--- Now I pay for a service and I have to leave the house to use it.

I have been having this phone (N1100) with Cingular for about a year. Signal strength was average to good up until about a month ago. Now, both phones have no reception inside our home and one or two bars outside. Cingular cannot or will not provide an explanation. My mother's Tracphone's reception is also not as good as it used to be.

Nextel's cellular service has become increasingly poor in New Orleans. I don't know what alternative carrier to turn to since they all seem to especially suck in Louisiana. Nextel used to be okay up until two years ago; I'm not sure what happened? Many individuals choose not to go with Cingular because of the corporation's goat-screw tactics of the past. Cingular is out to monopolize the market; nevertheless, screw-over the world as it always has.
This is a main street in Shreveport and should have reception but since the merger AT&T and Cingular it seems like there are less and less towers like Cingular disable all the AT&T towers.
