The minute you enter boothbay you from 3G to Edge to no data in about 2 minutes.. YOu start to lose signal in woolwich and even On the bridge in Wiscasset. Forget downtown boothbay / Boothbay hbr, East boothbay, ocean point, southport. You get a No service. It has been like this for as long as I remember. While Verizon gets 5 bars with 3G downtown. ATT needs to get a tower close there to get some coverage.

We live in NY and have a vacation home inorth of Pattan, Maine. I wished I had done my research, because my AT&T carrier has NO coverage in northern Maine. I will have to change carriers as we need cell service in our remote area.

I have ATT and once I enter Boothbay (even in Edgecomb my 3G switches to Edge). Downtown at Grays Wharf, I have no service and I know for a fact Verizon has 5 bars and 3G all around town extending even to Ocean Point. i completely lose signal once I reach Hannaford in BBay. ATT needs to get on the game in this region.

No landline. No cell service. Called customer service. No help because this is not my primary residence. Wanted to try a microcell, but no Internet connection. If I was a permanent resident, changing wireless providers would sure be a consideration. For the three months I work up here my wireless providers are free Wi-Fi where I can find it.

I have received a 3g home tower from ATT which has made my cell reception at home perfect. But, I wanted to give up my land line and port that number to my cell. No go. Wanted to keep my landline number rather than go through changing all my records and info with accounts. When is ATT going to get licensed so we have full ATT services?
