I get no reception at home, and no reception in Belfast. Basically, there is one spot within driving distance of my house where I have found I have reception. That is in Bayside, but only down by the docks. Everywhere else, I get nada.

Horrible reception in Brunswick and on base. No reception at home. AT&T will not cancel contract without $175 per phone fee. Definitely do not recommend them for this area.

No service. In Lovell village the phone says "Extended Network" but doesn't work, elsewhere it says "No service".

Basically told Cingular not renewing tower leases in herited from ATT... too bad for me, They want me to change (buy new)all three phones and upgrade tp gsm. I've been told GSM is unreliable.

I am stationed in Boston where my Nextel works fine - it only works in southern Maine and Nextel is completely useless anywhere north of Augusta / Gardner

At some point before Wakefield on Rt. 16 service drops.

Cingular said they had a tower on Sunday river. We bought their phones and their was no service, we had one bar at best.

I have Verizon with roaming, which is Cingular up here. Terrible reception, except in Ellsworth downtown. Blue Hill seems pretty good also. Nothing on Acadia.

Bought the phone in Phoenix, told it would work fine in Portland. No signal, and no help from Virgin. I made the mistake of buying into their month to month plan, paid the fee for hours up front, and when the service died, was told too bad. The Virgin representative suggested I consider only using my phone outside. I wonder how that would work in January in Maine!
