t mobile has horrible service throughout the greater portland area the Augusta area and all along the turnpike and 295. The perfect system to have if you never want to make a call.

No reception(searching) at the marina or the beach till well away from lake heading to dover / foxcroft. good recpetion(4 bars) on north main st intown dover. good in sangerville too

The service is either there or it's not, there isno imbetween, I am suspecting that something is wrong with my phone ecause standing in exactly the same place my phone will just loose service, castine waterfront or Ft. George is the best place to make a call, towers in brooksville and on blue hill mountain.

Somedays I can get a bar, enough so incoming calls will ring, but then drop when I answer. Otherwise we manage to use a collective 10 minutes per month, mostly when traveling into the city.

Service drops southbound on I-295 at mile-marker 43.

Seriously, no bars. No reception until you get into Skowhegan.

We own property on east side of Graham Lake, and have absolutely no reception with Verizon, which is the carrier I use in NYC. Service in Ellsworth--10 miles south of us--is a bit better. Since building a home on the lake, it has cost me a FORTUNE in land lines because my builders cannot communicate with each other. I do not buy the idea that "the mountains are in the way" Manhattan is full of "mountains" and cell service is fair to good. I would gladly let someone put a tower on my land if that would help. The land lines are stupid expensive.

t-mobile has alot to do to have there service in alot of areas in maine, ONLY if you have a gsm phone will you be at all pleased in even bangor and brewer, there is no service for t mobile running from mid hampden threw belfast, even with their so called top of the line gsm phones, as t mobile purchases alot of area tower time you do not get roaming, but then again ya need service to be able to get a roaming charge. after 2 years there service does not get better...

Don't even bother trying, no reception at all unless you happen to hit a Canadian tower then watch out for roaming charges!

I have Cingular, my wife has Unicel. 7 1 / 2 miles from I-95 on Rt 15 in Glenburn, can not get signal.
