No signal at all! Have lodged a complaint and was told the signal strength would be enhanced in 4 months. 4 months have passed and still no reception. Cingular is pretty weak, Sprint better and Verizon is best for this area.
It's a joke. Even with an external antenna. No service on US 340 from the river until Frederick, MD. Cingular has denied this in emails and says buying a new phone will solve all. Pfui.

I'm lucky if I can get any signal at all. Most of the time I have to go out of my house, into the middle of the parking lot to get any signal at all and that's IF I get any signal at all.

Nothing. Park users, especially mountain hikers and bikers, need good communication to get help in case of an accident. I understand all carriers have very poor to no coverage up here. Certainly, not one is reliable.

Dead spot on Piney Meetinghouse North of River, as you travel through the tiny park just south of Big Piney Way. I get calls dropped every time, whether I use the Sanyo 4900 (which has one of the best antennas around) and my new SamsungA840.
