Reception is atrocious at best in all of Takoma Park.

There is no service in the Betterton, Still Pond and surrounding area.

calls drop going into valley at roops mill. you'll be lucky to get reception before taneytown.

My phone uses the 1900mhz band and I get 1 bar to mostly 0 in my house and in quite a few areas around it. 850mhz band in dual / quad band phones is fine though.

Not able to receive any calls or even dial a number the network is worst.

I have no reception at home with Verizon, nor do any of my Verizon using family members. My sister has T-Mobile and she's the only one that can successfully make a call here. I can walk about a block in either direction, and get enough signal to get a call out, but not good reception.

Virgin Said they have coverage in the Area but its not true in reality. You have one spot where you might get a single bar, if you are lucky.

Mt Vernon is 9 miles west of Princess Anne. Verizon cell phone reception here is practically non existent.

You're better off with Verizon if you go south of PAX River NAS in Southern Maryland. They're lucky to have lights and running water down here. Septic backs up every time it rains. Don't forget to fill up the gas tank, you won't much of it also.
