Reception... only 1 bar..but could use it most of the time... . UNTIL the leaves on the trees came out... then either "SEARCHING" all the time or it would connect... then DROP... or I could connect RARELY but the other party could only hear part of the time. Verizon FINALLY acknowleged a poor signal in area. NO KIDDING! No Verizon service here... .except in the WINTER... .when the leaves are off the trees.

No reception at all. I may as well not even have a cell phone, as it NEVER works. I've also tried Nextel, AT&T and Sprint PCS with the same results. We need another tower here! It's not like I'm living in the middle of nowhere. I live in a suburb of Baltimore, just a few miles from the city line. This is totally unacceptable. I would change carriers, but I can't find one that is any better. Based on the reviews on this site, it looks like everyone else is having the same problem, regardless of who their carrier is.

AT&T wireless, and later Cingular, served this location fine for the past several years. A few weeks ago (2nd week in August 2005) the coverage in and around my apartment complex degraded to zero signal. A surprisingly pleasant and helpful Cingular representative provided a $15 credit and filled out a coverage feedback form. Nevertheless, this particular dead spot now negates the primary usage of my cellphone. Cingular... lowering the bar. Anyone know if Verizon offers reasonable coverage in Greenbelt?

I run a home business and have NO reception. I have to drive out to Hickory Ridge Village to get ONE bar and the calls get dropped. I called Cingular and they tell me I'm in a HIGH RECEPTION AREA (by the way, they area is "Washington DC" so that tells you how accurate they are). Their maps and database show high reception... I've always got good customer service from Cingular, so I've been persistent. They said they'll be sending "updates" to my cell phone, set up a "network quality case" and a "technical case" to investigate why MY PHONE is not working. They said I have a tower 3 miles away and should be getting excellent reception. EXTREMELY frustrated because my OUT OF BUSINESS without my cell. I'll be trying Verizon or Nextel even if they don't let me out of the contract. But I have faith that they'll do the right thing. Lost in Columbia...

I live right here and we never get any reception in our house, and poor\spotty reception if we go outside. For being a major highway intersection it is pretty cruddy that it doesn't work.

As soon as I turn into my subdivision my service blacks out. Nothing... not even a bar. There is one spot in my back yard that if you hold your head crooked, you may be able to get a signal... I switched my Wife and Daughter to Verizon and the service works fine.
