verizon wireless has almost no reception outdoors, and no reception indoors. This area in general has no cell phone signal at all, leading all the way upto boylston street where atrium mall is. Just outside the boylston st Verizon store has no reception whatsoever.

Zero bars indoors and have to walk around the yard to hope to get one. No reception kills the battery.

Verizon coverage in Becket is only along Route 20 and I-90. The center of Becket has no coverage. Route 8 from Becket to Hinsdale is not covered at all.

Cingular has the worst reception in Cambridge. I would never recommend them to anybody. I've complained numerous times about no reception and dropped calls and they just say they have many towers in the area. It's also the wosrt custoemr service I have ever expereinced. I had Sprint in teh cambridge area for over 5 years and never had a problem. I just switched back. I'll always regret going with CINGULAR!

Reception fades a blaock from Main St.into Railroad St.with a good assortment of bars and restaurants. Main St.is US 7 -- reception there incoming along State 57 and 23 is non existent past Granville. Signal picks up almost in sight of a cell-phone tower at the Stockbridge line - US-7 North -full power immediately just past the town line. Entire SW corner of Massachusetts at Great Barrington needs a relay tower. T-Mobile uses a package of T Mobile-Cingular and ATT wireless to connect. Route 23 after entering Egremont at before NY line restores the signal. Mountains mainly. Poor reception includes Butternut Ski area.

Gee, if I could only stick my head out my window to make a call. No service at home. Spotty elsewhere on the Cape. I went to 3 different Verizon stores for help - finally was told that I need a GMS tri band phone - The LG vx600 is a CDMA phone which is older technology. Keep that in mind when purchasing a new cell phone. My husband has an Audiovox but only slightly better reception. I wish I never left Cingular. I will look online for an unlocked tri band phone - and then switch back to Cingular in April when my contract is up!

I live on Carey Ave and get no reception in my house! Complaind several times but with no success! I am forced to get a landline now!
