It's not the phone (Model) it's 'cingular. Wanted to use Cellular system in and out of home, But, with such poor quality I'm forced to stay with "land-line" Cingular keeps saying "we put 2 new towers out in Providencetown and Turo. Both towns don't have more than 2500 Population (that's in summer) Cingular does not respond to letters or calls. Most of the area within my Zip code has very poor Cingular service. Cingular keeps saying your too close to Ocean for service?? Turo and P-Town are at end of Cape at most Turn is less than 2 mile from Ocean on both sides.

If you live in the historic "Diamond District" DO NOT subscribe with Verizon. You will not get any service. It has been like that for the last 5 years from 1999 to 2006. They will not improve it, instead they will give you excuses from their standard list. Avoid Verizon.

Cingular does not work in Brighton. They said their nearest tower is out of service. No plans to fix it. Thanks Cingular!

No reception in most of Watertown, MA. - even in the mall! I'm going to another carrier as soon as my contract with this terrible company expires.

The signal with my Motorola i60 is barely enough to recieve text messages, The phone somes times rings when called but rarely do I get anything but dead air when I answer it, and it's impossible to place outgoing calls. I borrowed a RIM BlackBerry 7250 from work to test it's reception and it was worse than the Motorola. The BlackBerry was unable to send or recieve both text messages or calls.

As soon as I hit the Auto Hospital on Rockland St., I lose Nextel reception. I don't get it back until I pass Hingham Harbor or get onto 228 (depending where I'm going). I lose reception in certain areas of my home( in Hingham), too.

Does anyone else at Harvard law school get no service with Sprint?? Please, please, call them and tell them to correct the problem. They told me that they can't do anything until at least three people call in. Just call customer service and say "no service." Thank you!

No reception at all in my apartment, even if I lean out the window. Going outside I get randomly between 1 and 5 bars, with inexplicable oscillations between the two extremes. Previous apartment in Cambridge had excellent service, problems seem specific to Watertown area.

Had an LG vx 10 phone which gave me between 1-2 bars, with the new lgvx6100 reception is worse... between zero and one bar
