I work in Taunton and have no problem with service but when home in South Middleboro I have no bars. I prefer to only have a cell phone but need to still pay for a landline until I can get service in my home. I can usually get a bar or two outside of my house but never in the house. When I lived in Taunton my cell phone worked great in the house and I didn't need a landline.

The worst experience I have ever had with a cell phone! I use T-Mobile for international travel but will soon drop the service and opt for a temporary phone for travel and one that works for the US at HBS.

I get absolutely no reception in south gardner center just off the 2a. Turns out that my home borders a dead zone for verizon. If you get crapy service call them and they can look it up. They are letting me out of my 2 year contract for no charge. Now I have to find a service that works... ... .

If I'm lucky and place the phone near a window, I can sometimes hear it ring. I can never answer the call (it's always immediately dropped) but I can at least see who it is and call them with a landline. Incredibly frustrating

T-mobile is striking me more and more as a great service for urban areas, but iffy in the 'burbs.

Nantasket Ave. / Q St. intersection, Hull, MA 02045 Wed Nov 14, 2007

Reception is terrible in parts of Hull. From L St.to XYZ St.and the area from the Clarion Hotel to Atlantic Avenue. I have been in contact with Verizon Wireless for the past two years, hoping that the reception would improve, but as I am told by Verizon " Progress is a slow moving Process" I was told by Miranda Evans in the corporate office that it sometimes take 18 to 20 years to improve service. Nice... ... ... ... I looked at the Cingular (ATT) service area and it looks like they have better coverage in the area and are willing to let me try there service for 30 days and if it's not better than Verizon, they will take the telephones back and not hold me to the contract. Worth a try... .. You would think that with the density of Hull and so many Verizon Cellphones, you would think they would concerned with providing better service.
