Reception is terrible in parts of Hull. From L St.to XYZ St.and the area from the Clarion Hotel to Atlantic Avenue. I have been in contact with Verizon Wireless for the past two years, hoping that the reception would improve, but as I am told by Verizon " Progress is a slow moving Process" I was told by Miranda Evans in the corporate office that it sometimes take 18 to 20 years to improve service. Nice... ... ... ... I looked at the Cingular (ATT) service area and it looks like they have better coverage in the area and are willing to let me try there service for 30 days and if it's not better than Verizon, they will take the telephones back and not hold me to the contract. Worth a try... .. You would think that with the density of Hull and so many Verizon Cellphones, you would think they would concerned with providing better service.
Just moved to town and was greeted by the dreaded roaming signal from my Sprint phone. Sprint tells me that my neighborhood has been "noted" in the past as having no coverage, but that there were no plans to add a new tower. I swithed to Verizon and am able to make calls inside again (woo hoo). Not perfect but a hell of a lot better than Sprint.
Court St. Near Noble Hospital and Library / Rt. 20, Westfield Shops Area intersection, Westfield, MA 01085

Since starting work in Westfield, I cannot receive or make calls in this area. Calls are being dropped all of a sudden for the past month. Very frustrating. I don't know if it was because I changed my phone from a Nokia to a RIM blackberry or commuting to that part of Westfield every day. I lived in Westfield for a time with my Nokia phone and had no trouble. Now I drive there from Agawam and have connection problems. Not happy about this and want to change providers and possibly go back to a Nokia phone.
