Impossible to make connection inside residence. Only able to make limited connection outside, but dropped most of time. Must get into automobile and use mobile antenna to get anything close to reliable connection. Been crying to Verizon on many levels for several years, but nothing changes. Am changing residences in a few months. Will also be changing cell carrier.

Nextel is good in the major cities but even along I75, there are somme areas where the reception is not good

I have to drive 4-5 miles in any direction to get a steady / reliable bar. On a perfect day, I can get one bar when sitting on the front porch with the phone in question held high and at a distinct angle... but the call trying to be made is always dropped. This must be a blackhole for cells out here... however, my brother has Cingular and an old Nokia candy bar style phone and his works everytime... with 2-3 bars. I wish vendors knew more about their home areas and had better knowledge about phone reception capabilities between the various models.

I currently have Cingular, but have also had Verizon. My neighbors have Nextel. This area is dead as far as reception is concerned. I do get an occassional "blip" of service that allows me to get a call off or check voicemail. My previous Verizon service and neighbors' Nextel is the same. I am trying to find out what company has the cellular tower on Wildcat Rd. south of Burtch Rd.

Stood on the corner and friend next to me, with Virgin Moble phone, dialed my Verizon phone. My phone never rang. Even worse, the caller did not get a 'not available' message but it rang like I just didn't answer. A few minutes later (and a few hundred yards down the street) my phone suddenly flashed "One Missed Call." Tried with different Verizon phone with same result.

I have had Verizon for many years but as soon as my contract is up I am done.I have dropped calls,no reception.it is terrible all over michigan

I can not get any reception at home, or most other places around here. I have had my sims card updated and heard every excuse in the book. I want to switch to another carrier, however; the responses from others on this page seem to suggest that the entire area is bad for all carriers.

Dead along Fenton Rd from Grand Blanc Rd to Thompson Rd. Signal varries from poor to No reception.

Absolutely no reception! If outside, the phone may connect to the network, but it is only momentary and no signal bars are seen. This seems to be the case with many other phones and networks as is seen when family comes around.
