I have Boost Mobile and receptions sucks! I have to go outside for any reception at all and 99% of the time I get only 1 bar. To get voicemails you look like a crazy person moving til service hits you to get them then in the middle of receiving them it loses all service... call disconnected... I want Nextel back! Thats the only carrier I had excellent reception here. I definately am searching for a new carrier... If any one lives in this area and has reception I sure would like to know the carrier so I can switch asap! I cant stand paying my bill for a phone that I cannot use...

Question: Are some phones better than others when it comes to working with a weak signal? I don't do internet, take pictures, do e-mail, text or any other of that cool stuff. We only make and receive voice calls. The only reason I kept our older phones is because they would work well with weak signals where I moved from. Doesn't hold water up here in Michigan. Any recommendations?? thanks

Reception in Harrietta Michigan is poor at best. many residents have to get in their vehicles and drive to pick up a signal. Sometimes we can get a weak signal outdoors. The terrain is hilly which I concede, but selling a service at full price that does not work well just shy of shady business. ATT has micro cell devices that could help phone use at home. It should "give" them to users who have DSL, which is available in Harrietta. I spoke with ATT and they will sell it to me for $200 and I have to upgrade my older phones that work just fine, and possibly enter into another minute agreement with them. 100% unacceptable in 2011. This is no longer the stone ages and people should be connected as much as they individually desire. I'm forced to have a land line in additional to the cell phones so I can make / receive calls from my home. What if a fire or medical emergency? All providers use the same few towers, so none can provide decent service. Shame, shame on you guys. So much for universal service that I pay for as a fee on my cellular bill each month. Check yours. You're paying for it also.

Lawton has the WORST reception for Verizon! I asked them about it and they said it won't likely change because it costs over $1 million to build a new tower. So much for taking care of the customer...

Every single call I'm on in my home is dropped. There is one location near a front window I can get a few minutes of conversations but then I lose the call completely. Need a land line :(

I just renewed my Verizon contract, the salesgirl said this new phone had better reception. Wrong! It still doesn,t work for me. I am again paying $60 a month and cannot use my phone in the house or on the roads. I had a bad experience when my car broke down a year ago, again, no reception between Kenton and Sidnaw. Other phones work, why doesn,t mine? Where I live is a good area for a tower, near the highway, on M28 and up high. We need full coverage here for the winter months especially.

I have a house repeater which is the only way I could get reception for my internet data card. Now they shut the tower down and no reception even with the large repeater antenna!
