NEXTEL--I loved Nextel for years and years. I have had it for nine years in all. It was the best and the 2 way was great also. Other companies progressed but Nextel did not. It has stayed the same. They have all passed Nextel up. I hadn't even heard of some of them in 1999. I get no coverage at my home inside or out. On the road it goes in and out. We have a cabin in the UP and we leave our phones at home because a few miles over the bridge there is no reception at all. In Bronson, Mi at Matteson Lake there is no coverage and there is an Nextel office just 10 miles away in Coldwater. That is like stealing. If they are not going to keep up with the times they should get out of the business. I have a GPS for my car and unless the weather is very bad it always comes in. So you know a phone could do the same thing. The companies just want you to spend money on phones that don't work to make as much money as they can before they switch over to satilite phones. Thank goodness we still have land lines and who ever called them land lines 10 years ago. I'm mad that the companies are soaking us up for money before they give us what we want, a cell phone that works. They are all bad!
No reception even though phone shows 2 to 4 bars on signal strength. Have to go east about 4 miles towards DeTour Village to get a true signal. Will show roaming at times also.

This is at our house with two different AT&T cell phones.Son has Verizon and gets signal here. The area north south and west of here also has poor signal or no signal.
Sprint reception is so bad that I can't even speak inside my own house, but have to go out into the yard and even then I only get 2 bars usually, sometimes three if I angle myself just so and don't move!
Can't use Sprint on Northwest side of Cobb Lake. Really don't get a signal until approximately 142nd and Kalamazoo. I thought since Sprint joined or took over Nextel, that the towers would make the two the best coverage service. Now they tell me that "they are working on it". Yeah, right. It is really funny because I can see three tall radio towers from my house within in a mile of my residence, but they evidently don't have antennas for Sprint

For the second time in 2 months, I've lost all reception on both my BlackJack and my son's Sync. We're unable to make or receive calls, send texts, or even check voicemail for about 1 / 2 mile radius around our house. Phones work fine outside that radius. The iPhone (which is on a different service, I suppose) works fine. First time, about 1 1 / 2 months ago, it lasted for about 36 hours. Reception was fine up until that point, and aftward up until this point. This time it's been 24 hours, and counting. Has anyone else experienced this problem?
