Frequent dropped calls - goes from having 3 or more bars to absolutely nothing. Progressively getting worse, as the same thing happens heading further north from US-10.

Verizon boasts they have you covered nearly anywhere in the state of michigan! Well, sorry Verizon your company looks like a smoke and mirrrors monopoly... Your adds are truly misleading and I could easily name 100's of locations that your service is worthless... My guess is take care of large cities first and screw over the people that enjoy county life. I was hoping I could have left a positive comment, however you give us no reason to...

For some reason or another, this area is plagued with dead zones for ANY network really. The nearest tower is almost 5 miles away and when going into any stores on the above corner, I get no bars or no service. I wish there were a way to report the dead spots online.

Always had good coverage with T-Mobile until recently. Now their customer service is USELESS as is their coverage! I would NOT suggest using them if you are in the Saugatuck, MI area. They won't support you when you don't have coverage.

According to the Coverage map - this area has 'good' coverage. ZERO BARS! Buncha jerks, going to cancel right away - good thing I tested it with a pay-as-you-go phone before comitting. Only an idiot would believe SALESMORONS and just buy a phone, then realise they have no service. Test drive, people.

Barryton - Chipp Vista / 10th and 19 Mile intersection, Barryton, MI 49305 |
Thu Jul 29, 2010 |
I get no reception in Barryton or at my cottage in the Chippewa Vista. Everyone in town and in the Vistas say the same. Most people have Verizon / Alltel but can only use them when travelling out of the area. I filed a complaint with the FCC and did get a call from Verizon. The basically said that the closest tower is 7 miles away and they have no plans to add one in Barryton. There are hundreds of residents and many more vacationers in the area left without cell service. Everyone should file a complaint with the FCC to get some action.

Adams Rd. / Old State Rd. intersection, East Jordan, MI 49727 |
Wed Jul 28, 2010 |
Occasionally the phone flickers one bar. I have to drive over three miles to get a signal I can keep a phone call with. There appears to be a new tower going up on Adams Rd. near East Jordan. But, as of yet, no news as to whom it belongs. I hope this improves signal, if it's not AT&T's tower, then I'll be switching!
