Dead spot due to terrain. AT&T won't do anything to help.

Like an ekg on a dead body, flat line. Imagine my suprise when I found out that the tower is less than 1 / 2 mile away. Meanwhile a side by side comparison with the wifes Sprint reception works perfect 5 out of 5 bars. Explaination given by Verizon was (1) that 62 corridor was low laying. (2) Also something about a church blocking the signal ( does anyone know of a high rise church?). (3) Verizon also said the height of towers being extra low in height do to proximity of airport. I do run a business off my phone and just today missed 2 calls from potential clients. Fortunately they left a voicemail which chimmed in later. As a contractor first contact is very important and can make a difference between having or not having work. I did get a voicemail from Verizon (cause I missed that call too) saying they would give a 50% discount on there network extender. This to me is admitting guilt and that they have a problem of not being able to fulfill their part of the contract. heres my problem with trying to stay a loyal customer; telling the wife I need to spend $150 just to use my phone. as you can imagine that is not going to go over well. AT ALL!

We had better reception when we had analog phones. Now we get no reception inside our house and almost no reception in our yard (which is heavily wooded). Any suggestions?

We just found out about the areas that Sprint dropped in Fernley, Nevada east to Utah. Unfortunately, when I couldn’t get hubby on the phone for three days (never happens, he calls daily), I called out the Lyon County Sheriff to help find him. Turns out he was not able to use his phone in the remote wiles of Nevada and had to find a payphone. Thanks a lot Sprint, what a loser way to run a company!

My TracFone activated in the Ashton Iowa area off the tower at Matlock used to work well in the Worthington area. It has quit, and TracFone tells me it is because US Cellular does not have a tower in the Worthington area now. My phone is CDMA technology and the Verizon tower there is CDMA but TracFone apparently does not run off Verizon towers, at least that is the story I got from TracFone.

Never get a signal in Big Lake, Mn. It's impossible to make or receive calls untill you get into the Rogers / Elk River area, and even then it's spotty. T-Mobile sucks.

Rarely any reception - and if we do get one bar, the call will drop. There used to be a tower within 10 miles, but it no longer shows up on the tower map. One does show up about 13 miles from here, but obviously it doesn't provide enough power. We feel that our reception had definitely deteriorated and are very frustrated with the reception that Verizon is providing.
