I used to get a weak signal. As of about a month ago I get no signal all the wat from Hermann south to Drake. I have to drive to New Haven before I can get a signal.
Hwy. PP / Rogers Ln intersection, Sparta, MO 65753
Tue Mar 28, 2006
Virtually no reception in my house. I sometimes get three bars out in the back yard. I have to drive west on Hwy. 14 toward Ozark, to the Hwy. JJ intersection, to get enough dependable signal to make a call without dropping. Everyone else I've talked to with different Cingular GSM phones say the same thing. I guess the Sparta / Rogersville area isn't that important to Cingular.
Live on hwy H in the valley north of hwy Z and H intersection. NO SIGNAL SERVICE, if I do get a call through it is so garbled and can not understand the person on the phone. Some times I get one bar, but usually there is no bar. We really need a tower out here on Hwy. Z (high ground)
as of yesterday we have no cell phone service, whereas for 3 months since we first bought the service and phones we at least had 1-2 bars at our country home. now it says "no service" and in town we only get 1 bar when before we had all 5 bars. What gives? any input? BTW, oddly enough both cell phones had this occur yesterday so it seems unlikely a phone problem, more a service problem.
Hahn State Park, Also Doe Run / Also Doe Run To Ironton intersection, Farmington, MO 63640

Hahn State park has NO, I mean NO reception, due to being in a steep valley. Pagers will NOT even work there. Doe Run MO to Ironton MO has no recption due to towers only being at Farmington, Once you leave Farmington city limits going west you will have no signal. Good luck with pagers out there also. New tower added by Lakes Genevieve on hwy 32, but requires new 64K simcard (that Cingular will give for free if you ask) for the additional programming. You will have to have Cingular credit your account $50 per simcard and then buy them at local dealer(they charge$50). However you can get them on E-Bay for $9.99 yourself and save $
