I think Cingular needs to put in more towers around this area. We get no reception out here and they keep screwing us over on our bill. If it wasn't for our 2 year contract I would have them turned off!

There is no reception along Bayberry Lane driving east to Metropolitan. If you're up on top of the hills, reception quickly improves however. We just switched to Cingular from Sprint hoping for more off-interstate reception, but have been disappointed so far. Even switching to a Motorola v551 didn't help either.

On my way from St. Louis to Mexico, once you pass Auxvasse, Nextel goes into NO SERVICE. Hopefully when they finish the merger with Sprint I won't have to have 2 cell phones!

The signal drops out for large portions of this part of Hwy. 109. This is the major north-south road in the western end of St. Louis county

There is a new tower installed 1/2 mile away unless we drive to higher ground. We were told we needed a new chip installed to accomodate the new tower or replace the phones with new ones. We have had the phones for a yer and we have a two year contract. We've never had service here and the phones are useless!

Wentzville Parkway / West Pearce intersection, Wentzville, MO 63385 |
Wed Dec 29, 2004 |
I moved from across town in Wentzville, only 3 miles, and now I have no service to speak of. I live very close highway 70, and Sprint finally had to admit I live in a known "coverage whole." I'm canceling my service and switching to a new carrier ASAP. In addition since having service with Sprint, I can honestly say I've never had worse cell service, and I've had Cingular, T-Mobile, and Verizon.

Rt. 32 / Rt. 119 intersection, Salem, MO 65560 |
Thu Dec 16, 2004 |
Once you get off 32 either side, mostly zero reception. This area is 10 miles from Licking and 10 miles from Salem more or less and reception is terrible.
