No reception on our farm with AT&T. We bought a booster and now get 5 bars. We lose service down our road every time. Now for the 3G--I work from home and it is horrendous! We have a Verizon MiFi unit that now gets us internet service but AT&T has nothing--there unit was terrible.

Nexus S
Jefferson Barracks, Saint Louis, MO 63125 Tue Aug 09, 2011

I just bought the Nexus S 4G yesterday and I've tested reception from the Fenton Best Buy where I bought the phone all the way to Jefferson Barracks. 4G reception is almost non-existent everywhere, and I've already started dropping calls. I came from straighttalk which is a tracphone and I have never lost a single signal. My download speeds range from 0(75% of the time) to 0.70mb on average and have never been over 0.90mb, which is unacceptable for 4G service. If it doesn't improve after a few service calls or trips to best buy I'll return the device and go back to my straight talk phone..ole' reliable.

Sprint shows this is in the data coverage area too and assured be by hone I would have excellent coverage but no data could be reliably established. I spent 1.5 hours on a different phone trouble shooting with them before the call was dropped by the network. Way to go Sprint... seem to be par for the course for them. BTW, their account managers can access different information than the customer service agents so if you're calling to check on outage or problems in an area, don't waste your time with a customer service agent, get to an manager as soon as you can and then you'll get reliable information (This was determined after I questioned why a customer service agent would tell me everything was fine and then the manager told me there was an outage. The manager said they can access different information than the customer service reps. This is why they are all on different pages at Sprint and they obviously have issues).
