Sprint not only has many areas north of the river in Kansas City that lack coverage but it's customer service is pitiful (see below). Don't even think about using the phone inside your home. You will lose the call within a minute of connection. Other problems are that most of the time when someone calls you, the phone will never ring and the call will show that it was "missed". Voicemails will be mysteriously "dropped" for no apparent reason so you will miss important calls. In addition, don't count on using the website to look at your bill. Half of the time the website doesn't work or is so slow your browser will lose the connection (this is on a high speed broadband connection, by the way). To top it off, they frequently screw up and / or just render your username and password useless on line so if you are "paperless" you may not see your bill for over a week at a time. The website will direct you to call a number at which customer service will cut you off and not be able to help you restore your username or password anyway. If you cave and decide you HAVE to have Sprint, then whatever you do, don't go paperless. Demand that they send your bill every month. Also check the bill very closely because there are often calls you are charged for that you have not made.

I joined on a family plan with my sister and they said we would get reception. We don't have any bars until we are almost back into Columbia. When I called the company to ask about this they said if I just go 2 miles to the East I would have full bars, my reply "I don't live 2 miles to the East." I don't recommend this company to anyone North of Columbia until they get more towers.

Before ATT and Cingular merged, I was able to get spotty reception at my house. However, since the merge, not only have I lost almost all reception in the entire McDonald County Missouri area, but now I have the issue of dropped calls on a continuous basis! I am NOT happy with the merge!

I can't get reception in my apartment (an old building ) and am looking to switch carriers. The phone and T-Mobile have worked well for me until now, but I can't have a phone that says "seraching -- emergency calls only" when I'm inside, especially since I'm not getting a land line. Very frustrating.

Little to no signal - ever, even on my deck. I live on a hill and I still can't get a signal. I can have 3 or 4 bars when I start to dial, but as soon as the call tries to connect, I get nothing. Same thing when a call comes in. My daughter's Nokia is only marginally better. Also, pretty much the whole drive into Eureka (John McKeever Rd and Hwy. FF) is dead. Had the same problem with Verizon, so I guess it's the terrain rather than the provider. Wish they'd focus more on service and coverage than on phones with cameras, music and tv!
