Very poor to no reception. Forget about using your Verizon service from inside your house. On the deck outside backyard you 'might' get a signal but will definitely lose it soon after.

The signal drops out for large portions of this part of Hwy. 109. This is the major north-south road in the western end of St. Louis county

There is no reception along Bayberry Lane driving east to Metropolitan. If you're up on top of the hills, reception quickly improves however. We just switched to Cingular from Sprint hoping for more off-interstate reception, but have been disappointed so far. Even switching to a Motorola v551 didn't help either.

If I take the cover off the back of my phone and leave it for a few minutes I might get 1 bar. Enough for a text. If I attempt to dial, it says I don't have service. There is a tower very close to us, but for some reason it doesn't reach. My sons phone is identical and his reception is better than mine. Go figure... he gets 2bars on his phone. But you have to stay still to talk to someone. I am looking for a different company to host all our cell phones and am having trouble trying to find the best coverage. I don't care what phone or what company. I just want to be able to use my phone and not miss phone calls.

Ladue Rd. (Ladue Trails Subdivision), Chesterfield, MO 63017 Mon Nov 14, 2005

Had great reception with Sprint in many other parts of St. Louis County, but moved to Ladue Trails neighborhood (Ladue Rd. and Cross Trails Dr.) where there is NO Sprint reception at all. I've tried more than one Sprint phone without success. Other wireless providers (Verizon, Cingular) have good signal quality.

I have had Cingular for a long time. But here I have no service. They are opening a new store in town. I guess the best I can hope for is a new tower. If not when my contract is up. I'm going to U.S. Cellular. It works here and so does Sprint.

South Lake Dr. / Hwy. 67 intersection, De Soto, MO 63020 Thu Sep 08, 2005

I switched from Cingular to Verizon because we thought the service would be better. We at least had a single once in a while with Cingular. None on S. Lake Dr.Valle Lake with Verizon. We can get a signal if we drive to higher locations in the area. None here in the valley and none many places between Festus and Bonne Terre on Hwy. 67. Verizon is not good in this area.

At this low spot on Big Bend I consistently lose connection, in fact I warn people that I am coming up to a bad area and will have to call them back.

There are just a couple of places in the entire town that you can get service. Up until a few months ago I never had a problem but now grrrrrrrr it is so aggravating!

The new house, and property are great. Cell coverage is absolutely non-existant. I have Sprint, wife has AT&T, sons have US Cellular, and youngest daughter has Verizon. My oldest daughter who lives in Omaha, has Alltel... she is the ONLY one who has enough signal to use her phone. If I turn my phone on at home, my battery will last about 3 hours because the phone is constantly looking for signal. We bought a $270 signal repeater, and it does not improve anyone's service. Thank God landlines work! My phone cannot even tell me the time of day out here!
