ALways drop calls

Although I stated "no reception" Truly it is between poor and no reception. It depends on how I sit in my chair in my office... sometimes.

First had Verison. Very poor reception and that was sporatic at this location. Then Alltel. Now AT&T since it took over Alltel. At least with Alltel, I could make a phone call if I went outside. Three phones, two new batteries and still can't get the thing to make a call. Now it says emergency calls only but can't even do that. It is only 68 miles to Missoula so they can fix it for a fourth time. So it won't work again. Don't know why a company the size of AT&T can't get it right after three tries. Their concern obviously isn't quality service, or any service, it seems. There certainly is no mention of getting my money back for the phone.

AT&T reception---in or out is non-existent. We had great reception with Alltel ---since AT&T took them over we no longer can make or receive calls... .the phone is an expensive paper-weight. We have reported this to AT&T numerous times---spent over 30 hours on the phone to fix over the last few months---sent a Microcell--signal booster through cable but went to install it and was told that it wasn't approved, by the FCC, for use in our area---paid $200 to ATT for this. ATT told us repeatedly that they would let us out of our contract but when requested to do this without penalty---went up the chain and was told that noone will allow this or they would get fired... .talk about big company egregious behavior!

Reception on Finley point is horrible especially on the n. Finley point road and as you get out further on the point (Finley point lane). they just put in a new tower and it has done nothing for the coverage out here.

Cell service is terrible. I have a booster and it still isn't working very well. I had good service with Alltel and when we went North and East we had service as well. Now you get NOTHING! I have a cell tower right out my door, but because AT&T is GSM signal, they will not pick up on it. They need to roam to other towers for the sake of their customers! People need their phones or they wouldn't have them. I am changing to a different company as soon as I can get out of the contract.

No internet since yesterday (5-23-11) I get error messages 635 This stinks! Never had issues with Alltel My smart phone works though? Is that picking up different towers? Same issue last Monday night! I am not impressed! I need internet!

We have a tower on the hill behind the Avon Cafe. Evidently it is not a Verizon tower because everyone in town got Verizon before they put the tower up. Now no one in town has signial.

I used to have a 2-year contract with T-Mobile, but when I moved to Nye, I got no service. I got out of the contract at no cost to me. Here's what I want to tell you: If you're on a contract and you're NOT getting cell service, you can legally get out of the contract with NO penalties. They HAVE TO let you out of the contract at no charge. Write them a letter and tell them they are not living up to their contract, because THEY CAN'T PROVIDE SERVICE TO YOU, and that you want out of the contract with NO PENALTIES. That's the key. Send it Registered Mail, and then follow up and make sure they take care of it. If they don't, report them to the FCC.
