I just posted about my crappy T-Mobile service and realized that my pc put in 2000 as the year, the year is actually 2009. This is all current as of 10 / 03 / 2009 so do not get TMOBILE! Dan the supervisor said that he is honoring the statements that Daniel gave me just 2 days before, and that Daniel will be coached because he gave me incorrect information. I have a co-worker who moved from KC (where T-Mobile has coverage) to Omaha, it took him 3 months of documenting dropped calls before he could get out of his contract. Be leary of ever signing a contract with them. T-Mobile sold pre-paid phones at Best Buy and Walmart before the better business bureau cracked down on them. When people went to activate them, they realized that their area codes would be 816 or some other long distant number. They will lie to hold you responsible for a contract!

T-Mobile claims to have service here but they do not. Their coverage map shows decent coverage in omaha but in reality they only have service on interstates and major highways (Dodge / maple / center streets) and they use AT&T's network for it. They won't roam anywhere off the major roads. TERRIBLE. And they also do not have local phone numbers. If you buy a prepaid phone from Walmart or somewhere it gives you an area code from Virgin islands or some weird place.

Representative says the equipment for a tower we have been promised for over two years is in Grand Island. The company has to get a new state permit to enter the pasture where they are to put the tower. I have heard of government works slowly, but this is ridiculous!

Ok, so occasionally, I can get 1-2 bars if I go upstairs. My mother and sister who have alltel... Perfect reception. When we called and asked about the inconsistency, we were told "there are plenty of towers, it just must be your phone." My mother has the SAME PHONE! Thanks AT&T. Really.

Trying to be dispassionate, ATT does not work in this area. It also doesn't appear to work in a variety of other Omaha areas. Ive lived in this area for 5 years and must have ATT for work and it has actually gotten worse lately, capacity? who knows. For giggles, I bought a boost / nextel phone to see if it was me or the Samsung phone I am using ( which I really like ) and the Boost / Nextel phone works flawlessly even in my basement etc.

We have a home near South Bend and we've been hearing since 2005 that Alltel was going to do something about the lack of reception in this area - I'd just like to get a "factual" time line on when and if this is ever going to happen. Our cell phone batteries get sucked dry in just a few hours as the units keep trying to establish a signal to no avail. If someone in authorioty reads this I'd love to know if there really is plans to improve the lack of reception in this area.

They slold me the phones and the service without ever mentioning that they do not have a 402- area code. I get my phone and it is a 660- area code. That is MO. Bad service also... T-mobile is a Joke DO NOT GET T-MOBILE.
