No service at all from mile marker 5 till mile marker 60. When I first subscribed, had good (analog) service all throughout my ranch and hunting area..Same-O - -higher cell phone bills, less coverage and customer service.
I can get a 2-3 bar digital signal on my phone and just as soon as I hit send my signal drops to 1 bar and continues to dial with no response until my phone just gives up and stops trying. It sure would be nice to have cell service in the valley as it would cover 3 separate communites and numerous homes in the outlying area. Come on Verizon ! get with the program and send your geeky guy out here and see how many times he says "Can you here me now ?" before he finally gives up in disgust !
The signal comes and goes... Its been gone now for 4 days. I canceled my service after I was told enough miss information. Thanks again for using At&t!

Verizon was heavily advertised in Angel Fire in 2008, but I had roaming. I increased to a heavier plan, then had fairly consistent Extended Network coverage. On 1Jul2009, the coverage cycled between 4 bars to "searching" and on 6 Jul dropped completely. On 8Jul, I was told by Verizon that they had pulled out of the Angel Fire market entirely, leaving with no service, not even roaming. I confirmed this with several other subscribers, including people in the village government. Verizon suggested I switch to AT&T or T-Mobile. Both my wife and I were using tri-mode phones that worked elsewhere, to include the jungles of SE Asia. But not Angel Fire.

I recently moved here. I have had Verizon service for years. Mostly it has been good. We had some service when I first got here then everything quit. I went to a local Verizon store to complain. There answer was to press *228 to reprogram my phone. That did nothing. I called 611 and complained again and they finally said they would check into the problem. They said they would get back to me and gave me a reference number. They did not get back to me I had to call them. When I did they finally admitted there was a known problem in this area. Verizon has been working on it for some time now. I was paying $ 87.00 per month for no service. They finally let me out of my contract so I could get a service that works. The strange part is we are probably only 200 yards from a cell phone tower.
