Little to no reception out here. I have to go to the middle of town to get reception or out to the Middle of Llano Estacado to get 2 bars. T-Mobile Sucks out here!
Have to be in line of sight with a tower south and west of Los Alamos, probably the one on a mountain top near Jemez Springs. Cloudy conditions wipe out reception. On occasion you get Alltel's service instead of Verizon and you can be charged for roaming if you move 12 inches or less. If you get a roaming signal, just move a few feet to get Verizon again. Calling Verizon to complain does not work. They tell you every time to reprogram your phone and leave it at that. Blackberries do not work at all here.

Cingular reception is very, very poor in most of Albuquerque. When I moved to Albuquerque I was lodged in a hotel for 5 weeks during which time I signed up with Cingular. The reception in the hotel area was OK during my 30 days trial period. After I moved to an apartment I found the phone useless. No bar at all. No reception from home. Cingular refused to allow me to break the 2 yeasr contract, saying I should pay a $300 penalty. A contract is a 2 way deal. I pay Cingular for the services I receive. While I receive NO services, they still insist I should pay my bills for 2 years or pay $300. This is OUTRAGEOUS and a scam / rip off by Cingular. I wrote to their CEO about this, and I advise all Ciongular ripped-off customers to do the same. Lets see if that helps !
