This block has been a major dead zone on my phone since I switched to T-Mobile over a year ago. I can't make a call when I get out of the subway at 2nd and Smith until I get to Court St.

No reception anywhere near the State Troopers barracks on the Interstate 90 and NY33 Expressway. Drops the call every time... like clockwork

I often get out of the train and try to call my wife. I have to wait until I've walked almost to 145th and Convent (or 141st and Convent if I walk down St. Nicholas) to get any reception bars. It must be that the cell towers don't reach into that valley there, but it's annoying.

i had Verizon for a fews years complained to them about no reception in or around my neighorhood northport village ny, 25a west to huntington ny, I need reception from my home iam now going to find a carrier who provides it

I can occasionally get one or two bars if I stand with my head out of the window. I live on the garden level of a brownstone. I don't get any reception in the back area of the apartment which faces downtown Brooklyn. I have to leave the phone on the window sill and use my bluetooth in order to make calls. OK but to have to go through the extra steps make having a cellphone less convienent than a landline.

There is no reception in Brooktondale / Slaterville area. Forget calling Verizon customer service, they exist only to drive you insane with ridiculous reasons for why things happen, then of course, they have no idea how to fix anything.

Verizon service sucks in farmingdale and massapequa. Had T mobil and it was better!

If you live in Northern Huntington, do not waste your time with Cingular Service. Friends who visit with Verizon at least get a weak signal here.

There is reception on either side of the valley, but along Cayga creek, there is no service.
