Don't get any reception at all in my entire apartment building. My roomates who have Cingular and Verizon get full bars. Sprint also works. TMobile also doesn't work in my office on 5th and 39th. I thought it was the phone but others with TMobile service don't get reception either. Am switching to Sprint, which also gets full service there.

The phone is useless from hicks and union street up till about court street. That's when a may or may not get a single bar. Come on! this is a big community in a major city not the poconos, where I might add I get slightly better reception.

Very dissappointed with lack of service in this area - I essentially have had no service in my home from Verizon for the last 6 years. (AT&T is no better). Very few providers have signal here. I've seen Nextel phones work as various service personal are able to contact their office. Verizon has no plans to improve service in this area.

Andover, Main St., Andover, NY 14806 Thu Aug 17, 2006

Moved to the area to find that my cell had NO reception in Andover. Reception startes just outside town to west (Wellsville) and north as you enter into Alfred. I heard that Verison is the only one. Not sure about the whole tri mode vs. all digital they offer on the phones. Seems V is pushing the All digital, which is a shame cuase from what I understand any rural areas that don't have digital just will be dead. ONLY because of phone that is, since some phones have analog (hence the tri mode, not to be confused with tri band which that mostly use if you also have GSM for international). Hope this helps!
