No Service at Lakeland Lumber. Cingular seems to do quite well at the same location.

Verizon has a good signal at Goldens Bridge Station (only place I've ever seen 4 bars on my V3M). But heading east toward Route 121, it fades in and out. Just before you turn into Sullivan Road, it drops out and doesn't come back until you get to Yerkes Road. This has been a well-know dead zone for Verizon and AT&T (and now Cingular) for over ten years now.

There is no reception one most of Noyack rd. Sprint service is fairly good south of 27.

Verizon is the worst company. Their rate plans are ridiculous and the reception is not the best. Customer Service is the worse and this phone is not the best. Usually people call me and I dont hear the phone rings and it send them to the voicemail constantly.

Known dead spot for over 4 years. Nextel ignoring it.

I get excellent reception for 15 to 30 minutes a day and NO reception anywhere from Lower Manhattan to Central Park West the rest of the time. Usually, early in the morning or late at night I'll get a strong signal on the 19th floor in my west-facing apartment. Then, in mid conversation, pfft! Dead as a doornail for the next 12 to 23 hours. This phone is still usng a SIM from the AT&T service. A salesperson in the Cingular store beween 53rd and 54th on Broadway told me that's probably what the problem is. The contract was originated on the West Coast, and even though we are now out of contract, the guy told me that only my wife, who signed up for the service, can get the SIM changed. As my wife is still on the West Coast, this is a pain. I may just sign a new service contract with Cingular here and get a new phone. My sister-in-law was in NYC Tuesday night and got excellent Cingular connectivity everywhere we went in Manhattan, including the subway tunnels.

Reception is spotty at best... have to be near a window.

Terrible reception, none at all at home. Lots of garbled calls and dropped calls in the neighborhood. Use Verizon, they have much better coverage.

Get absolutely no reception in this area even though tower is at NYS Thruway Ext 25, just down the road. Nextel Reps don't understand it! Have to hang outside a window to get any cells!

Very frustrating too many dropped calls. Service is extremely poor and needs to be worked on.
