Second time in less than a month we have no service. I can't even find out this AM ( JULY 30th, 2010) what the problem is! We only have cell phones here so my only communication is by slow TWC road runner on my computer now. Anyway else with this problem yesterday and now this AM?

Anytime I travel outside of the Brevard city limits I can no longer get reception on my phone or connect to the internet. AT&T needs to step it up and provide better service in Transylvania County. It's 2010 already... you are losing customers!

Crumpler, NC, Crumpler, NC 28617 Tue Jul 27, 2010

AT&T gives me absolutely no reception from North Wilkesboro to Crumpler, NC. There is one area in West Jefferson that gets somewhat of a signal but that's it. I can't believe I switched to this company. I will never stay with AT and T after my contract expires and I have six numbers plus a data line. Unbelievable.

AT&T in Southern Pines area is horrible. There is no reception of any kind where I work, live and play golf. How AT&T can advertise 97% coverage is a mystery. I guess 97% of customers can get in a car and drive to a place where there is reception, so they can claim 97% coverage! Their map claims coverage, but it's pure BS. No one I know who has AT&T can get a signal. I'm dreaming of the day Verizon can provide iPhone service. I'll gladly pay the early termination fee. AT&T has lousy service and is obviously not concerned about false advertising and lying to customers and prospects. It's going to catch up with them!

AT&T reminds me of the guy who use to hid his dingaling in the Junior High dressing room before gym. He was always talking loudly in front of the girls about how big he was, but the truth is AT&T has the worse coverage of any major company out there. That's a shame for Apple. Now Droid and Blackberries have caught up, so there's no reason to go with AT&T.

AT&T reception in Western North Carolina is horrible. It's fine in the major cities and along much of the I-40 and I-26 corridors. But get outside of those areas and it's awful. My husband has Verizon and have (had) AT&T. I get NO reception at our house, which is up the hill about one-half mile off a major highway (74A) and less than a mile from I-40. He has no problem with Verizon. We do alot of traveling around Western NC and constantly compare our reception. He almost always has reception - I rarely do outside of the cities. He can even get reception on the stretch of the Pkwy. that runs between I-26 and I-40. I can't I moved to WNC after I purchased my AT&T contract. Their response to my complaint - we see that you live in a low reception area, but you are near reception, so there's nothing we can do - just keep on getting in your car and driving a mile from home to make a phone call. I will NEVER use AT&T again. And strongly discourage anyone who needs service outside of the urban areas in NC from getting an AT&T contract. You won't be happy.

Service is actually provided through Consumer Cellular, which is fine. However, CC stated I was in a valley, which I am not. Verizon's service was never a problem, but CC's cell coverage is provided via AT&T and this is a problem. All along SR 251 seems to be a problem as well. I can have as many as 3-4 bars showing and still 'no service' available. If CC is unable to correct, I'll have to search for a new No Contract provider. Verizon was just to expensive for service and phones with a 2 year contract. In this age, these companies should all consider removing their contract requirements. It would improve service and cell coverage for all consumers!

In my office in Kitty Hawk I receive zero bars,no service. In my Nags Head and Duck office I have four bars. In my Corolla office I have one bar. This is a new phone and I had very few problems with my old phone. The local provider says there is a problem with the tower. Sure hope that is it, if not this phone is going back.

I am interested in the bundling services that AT&T offers but tried it once before and get no service at all in my house not even when walking up and down the street within a third of a mile each way. Please do something to improve the reception so I can switch!
