Seven Devils Dr. / Devils Lake Dr. intersection, Banner Elk, NC 28604 |
Sun Jun 20, 2010 |
We use our vacation home all summer in Seven Devils and cannot use any T-Mobile phones. The whole family has T-Mobile service and it is useless on the mountain. Please get some service there. We have lots of friends who visit the area from Miami and we need to keep in touch. Our phones work well in Miami but not in the Western Mountains of Nc.

There is no reception in this area. There is no AT and T coverage in this area and I would love to know how to bring this coverage to this area.

In most areas of the Triad signal strength is acceptable, however when I'm at home, I consistently have no service.

ATT and Verizon are missing the upper Nantahala gorge and Lake Nantahala area. From the Nantahala Power House all the way up Wayah Rd to the AT Trail (about 20+ miles), there is ZERO tower / signal / reception. Anyone tells you otherwise doesn't live here or works for the carrier.

Outside we border at poor reception, inside we have none. In order to answer a call from inside, we have to run upstairs and hang out the window. Wish they would add a tower.

ATT is the worst for reception. It absolutely sucks. I have to hold my phone very still for like 10 minutes just to get one bar.

Alamance Church Rd. / Blakeshire intersection, Greensboro, NC 27406 |

I live between Alamance Church Rd and Forest Oaks. The reception for ANY phone is horrible. My phone is useless. And now that I have a bundled digital phone, cable and internet, when my power / cable goes out, I get into the car to drive down the road to call Time Warner or Duke Power. It doesn't matter who I go with, my phone simply does not work. And any vistors who come here that use other providers also can not get service. The neighborhood is a DEAD ZONE.

Reception is almost non-existent in and around my house. 1 / 4 mile east of my house reception is good. According to the map, the tower is 2.6 miles from my house and the terrain is essentially flat.
