Don't use Virgin mobile in this area it is horrible!

I work at West Craven High on this road and most of the time I only have 1 bar if any at all. Everyone else I work with that has Sprint has the same problem.

I have missed many phone calls and texts simply because my phone was not placed in the ONE location in my apartment that has service... in the corner of the master bedroom. If I need to make a phone call, I have to step outside, but even then I can only pick up one bar - maybe two if I put my right arm over my head and stand on my left foot.

AT&T is awful. When there is a signal, it seems to go up and down like the wind. Major dead zones and dropped call issues. Call quality is terrible when there is a signal...

Very poor cell reception no signal to 1 bar.

I have absolutely no signal around here. No data at all! How can I help bring more signals / towers to my area?

I have been with Alltel since 1996 and have had no problems until June 2011. Never had dropped calls, NOW I cant take a left from my driveway without roaming then I get no service until I get further into shelby. Still drop calls after that. Alltel tells me I am picking up onto Verizon towers in Shelby. Well if thats the case I dont want Alltel or Verizon, what company is the best????? After 15 years with Alltel I really dont want to switch but thinking Imay not have a choice.

Horrible reception in this area. On Appalachian State University campus, maybe 2 bars with slow data, usually no signal at all in buildings. Signal goes out from 105 Extension, no signal at all at New Market Center or Mack Brown GM Dealership. Weak signal at 28692 Vilas. Do not expect to get signal at all on mountains... .

Moved out here 3 / 11 and already had Sprint. They gave us free roaming and a "signal booooster" (is Halloween) to "help" with our service. Still the worse service. Calls are dropped, break up or just can't be heard speaking. It is very frustrating to be able to hear someone on the other end asking if you are there while yelling "can you hear me"! After 7 months of compalints Sprint tec support has generosly offered to let me out of my 2 year contract when I can go into one of their stores with proof of address other than our change of billing address made when we moved. I would have said how much I hate Sprint and their customer service except every employee I have dealt with has been wonderful.

Absolutely do NOT contract with ATT if you live or travel this area. Previously Alltel served the area with good to excellent coverage. With the Alltel breakup, the Judge assigned this zone to AT&T rather than Verizon and we the consumers are the victims. AT&T is CRAP. Consumers have choices and in this area AT&T is your last choice. Forget AT&T, this is a NO SERVICE option unworthy of your business!
