Nokia 6340i
Hwy. 64, Murphy, NC 28906 Tue Jan 25, 2005

I get no service here whatsoever. Well I have full signal but am no longer allowed to use the local tower.I moved here 6 months ago. Transfered my billing address but kept my phone number because I have national service with no roaming. The first 5 1/2 months I was here I was on Cingular Extend but had no problems. All of a sudden, last week, I lost all service. In order to call anywhere I have to use a credit card. It seems as though the tower that was carrying me on extend no longer is allowing Cingular phones to use their tower. I am paying for National service but can't use it. I will be switching to Verizon.

Sprint PCS doesn't work reliably unless I get to the mainland from Holden Beach Island. It's not so hot at my house in North Raleigh (27615) either, unless I'm upstairs.

Cherry Point Officer Housing / Roosevelt intersection, Havelock, NC 28532 Sat Dec 25, 2004

There is absolutely no reception in officer housing. Worse yet, you must travel two miles towards mainside before you get even a week signal. I understand that this is true for all carriers.

Dead spot in the entire neighborhood. Dosen't seem to matter who the carrier is and the company (Verizon) states the dead spot, while in South Charlotte, is related to several parks surrounding the subdivision. Even tried an external antenna with no success.

I use to have a Nokia without any problem, but just got the new V220 and I'm starting to wonder why. It worked fine for the first two or three weeks and now nothing but "Call Failed." It's starting to piss me off.

I've encountered poor reception from Sprint virtually everywhere in NC and in Florida, except very large cities.

Works OK in most places around town, but this in one of many holes with zero reception, especially in NE.

Sanyo SCP-8100
Beaverdam Rd., Asheville, NC 28804 Tue Oct 12, 2004

Reception dies at the church just before the firehouse, and will only resume some distance up Webb Cove Rd. The rest of the time is spent bouncing between analog and digital roams (mostly to Verizon, from what I can tell). Don't try to call anyone from the parking lot at Ingle's, either. The other one is on Kimberly Ave., right next to the Grove Park Inn's golf course... dead every single time.

Enter any building on the North Campus of A&T State University, and you have no coverage. I've been experiencing this problem for 3 years, with 2 different Motorola T-720's and my current LG VX4400.
