there are about 3 mile in which Wendover, Sharon and the SouthPark area have horrible connections. Surely one tower along this route would help solve this issue. We are located well-within the city!

True, this is a pre-paid, piece-of-garbage cell phone I only use for emergencies when out on the road, yet still, it would be nice to get even one bar in and around my home... or my entire neighborhood for that matter. This holds true for several other more high-profile cell providers as well. It's really a disgrace that Chapel Hill of all places has such poor-to-spotty coverage overall.

Verizon - can you hear me now???? Calls are dropped when driving through this area in Raleigh. Very poor reception in our subdivision near this location. Where's our tower?

After moving from Fla, and purchasing a Sony ww600i recommended by a Sprint associate, who promised me This phone would make a difference in reception, and also guaranteed me coverage at my new address... . Well, That phone was crap and died after13 months, just out of warranty. I did not get a signal anyway. Now, with a Motorola V3xx, still no sognal even with the external antennas I purchased... Verizon is supposed to be much better here. I will check it out. Cingular is a real disapointment. There are obviously enough frustrated customers to put up an antenna in the area...

Motorola Blend (ic402)
ASU Campus / Rivers intersection, Boone, NC 28607 Sun Jun 17, 2007

Sprint / Nextel has NO service at all anywhere on the campus. Even the walkie talkie service doesn't work and the IC402 phone is supposed to have double the coverage because it uses both Sprint and Nextel towers, HA... ..

Myers Park / Entire Neighborhood intersection, Charlotte, NC 28210 Thu Jun 14, 2007

Even with bars flicking from 1 to Full, as soon as I enter Myers Park at Colony by H.S., or Sharon Rd / Sharon Lane intersection, I cannot make a call; I lose my call; or I can hear the person I called and they cannot hear me at all. I have reported this area to Cingular for four years. It seems to be getting worse. The reception in my Southpark home (Giverny) is also bad - - so much so that I had to get a land line for my business. I can hear them, but they say I am breaking up - - all this with Full Bars! I just am dumbfounded that we have to pay over $100 for substandard service. How is that possible?

Little Rock Rd / airport / Pawtucket intersection, Charlotte, NC 28214 Fri Jun 01, 2007

I have Suncom I RARELY have any bars inside my house and cannot make a call go thru the first time. I have constant dropped calls. I just moved here from Mt. Holly and never had ANY problems there. I don't know if it's is because cell towers are scarce due to the airport nearby or what.

Chapel Grove School Rd. / Linwood intersection, Gastonia, NC 28052 Fri May 25, 2007

At best, some areas will pop in 1 tick while driving, but then gone within a couple of seconds. No signal at home at all.

Almost Impossible to get Virgin / Sprint Reception on ground level. In order to get any call through you LITERALLY need to climb a 20 ft. ladder and stay there.

Wilkinson Blvd., Belmont, NC 28012 Thu May 17, 2007

All over Belmont my signal fades from 0 reception (mostly) to 2 bars. Calls that do make it through are dropped withing seconds. My husband and I work all over Charlotte, and 9 of 10 of our calls are dropped. Customer service claims it's because our phones are old... just bought them six months ago. Hmmmmm. They refuse to let us out of our two year contract. I think I'll file a class action law suit. We can't do business like this!
