Can not get any recpetion at my home. Is it the phone or is it a lack of a tower.

None! I can see towers and I can see other people getting calls, but not Alltel. This happened on two visits separated by a year or so. Also, at Asheville airport, nada.

I recently moved to Mebane, I have to turn my phone off everyday when I get home or I drain my battery because my phone keeps looking for service that isn't there. I called Sprint and they had someone research it and call me back. They said that they hope to get a tower out here sometime?? (LOL) in the future. (I barely have service in town! I live a few miles outside of town.) I have had Sprint for many years and am now dissapointed that I cannot use my service as much as I did before. I do like what Sprint offers when I can actually access it. Please Sprint if you are reading this put a tower out here! or I am going to have to change carriers!

Purchased phone from Suncom Sept. 5, 2005. Have received excellent service locally as well as out ot state until Oct. 10, 2006. At that point, the phone registers "No Service," or "Emergency Only." This is in my home. I can go out of my home and and walk around the area and find some locations where the phone will register and I can make calls. If I drive toward Hickory (east), I can make connection. I have been in touch with Suncom nemerous times, local and their Tech. Dept. without any positive results. They gave a loner using my SIM card with no results. They put a new SIM card in my phone. Again, no results. The mystery to me is WHY it performed flawlessly for just over one year, and suddenly stopped. The phone was never abused or dropped. WHY?

Used to have great reception, but Verizon dropped off the cell towers that are in my back yard. Called Verizon, but they will not improve service in this area. Switching to Alltel.

We have had Alltel for years and recently moved to the area. If we are on 421 we have no problem with reception. But at our house, we have no reception at all. It usually doesn't even ring and if it does you might as well not answer because you wouldn't be able to hold a conversation. It is very upsetting because there are towers in Lillington and the surrounding areas, but not at Keith Hills Golf Course or the surrounding community.

there has not been a reception for atleast several years -would like to know when cell towers go up- because Verizon beats every other service!

In the majority of Kill Devil Hills the best I get is poor coverage, but in a major portion surrounding 3rd Street, I get NO coverage. There is sporadic and inconsistent in all areas of the Outer Banks.

Verizon has the worst service in Greenville. They have not installed towers as promised. Don't buy this service
