I work on N. Elm St. and get no reception where I work, it's a dead zone. On my way home, I eventually get 1-2 bars near the intersection with Pisgah Church but then no reception on Pisgah Church Rd. until I get near Cingular's call center at Lawndale. Then the service is 100%--wonder why? LOL. So basically you have to work for Cingular to get any reception around here. We're stuck in a 2 year contract, switched to Cingular when we moved back to NC. I wish they had T-Mobile around here, we had them when we lived in AL and never had a single problem or dropped call the entire 3 years we were with them. We only had problems when we were traveling to visit family in NC and our phones roamed on Cingular's network. Then, nothing worked right! And Cingular says they have the least dropped calls of any wireless network? HA.

Throughout "The Bays" in Columbus County, there is little to NO reception -- even though Alltel claims excellent signal strength in this area. Stop the LIES Alltel!

Anywhere In Bessemer City, Bessemer City, NC 28016 Mon Jul 03, 2006

My son and I get very little reception anywhere in Bessemer City. Maybe one bar at the most. In Wal-mart forget it - total dead zone. In August we are switching carriers. Verizon told us Bessemer City is a "low lying area" and they have always gotten bad reception there. I have had them for over 10 years and cant remember it being as bad as it has been for the last 2 years.

Don't even sign up for Cricket service if you need it in or around the Harrisburg area! Other than Harrisburg, no problems! Just don't be even a couple of days late on your bill!

Tested with more than one phone. Phones display all bars or almost all bars. Outgoing calls fail to connect. (Wait "forever" with "connecting... " on screen, then get a "network not available" message. All the while, showing all bars.) Incoming calls go direct to voicemail.

Reception is the worst. Its bad to have a cell phone that you cant use at home escpecially when all the people in you home have cingular. You use your minutes because you have to use a land line phone. It is very aggrevating.
