AT&T claims to have adequate Cell coverage in Emerald Isle, NC but there is NO AT&T VOICE RECEPTION in that area. Sprint and Verizon coverage is GREAT. AT&T needs to stop touting such great coverage when in fact it is HORRIBLE. I work from that location occasionally and have to keep a hard wire phone just because AT&T can't provide service.

Spring reception here is extremely bad on all 4 of our phones. According to Sprint our reception "is acceptable". Constantly no service or dropping calls.

For the past 5-7 days I have had non-existent service, at best one bar. Standing outside I may get one bar, two at most. If I drive South on Lead Mine Rd, it takes about two miles before I can get reception. This has been a recent problem. The bigger problem is Verizon's useless support. Call from a land-line, I don't have a land-line. In the next day or so, I am changing phone carriers. This morning I was unable to make an emergency call! Verizon's so called upgrades have actually been downgrades.

When Verizon and Alltell took out some of the towers last week (May, 2011), reception in our neighborhood, particularly my street went to ZERO. We get NO reception in our house (have had perfect reception for years until last week when they took down the towers) and can barely get 1 bar standing on the sidewalk. If Verizon doesn't get this fixed, we will have to switch. Who wants a phone they can't use????

I get no service in the apartments, unless I leave my phone on one small corner of my bed and even then it is like hitting a moving target. Really this is a college area and they cannot even put up a small tower in this area. Verizon does not work at these apartments either. The only provider that gets full service there is Alltel and they say their phones does not work here. Does anyone see a problem with this? AT&T says if you buy a signal amplifier "that cost $200" then you can get service. I think this is a conspiracy to get the phone companies more money. They could put up towers for AT&T and Verizon here, but they chose not to because small towns are not worth their time.

Angier Rd. / Purfoy Rd. intersection, Fuquay Varina, NC 27526 Wed May 11, 2011

3 bars around Fuquay Varina, 1-2 bars outside but nothing in house. Next door neighbor says she's ATT and just fine. May be a Go Phone issue.

Have not be able to use my phone in my home for about a month now. I have been calling verison. One person told me they were having outage issues here. Another said they were not. Customer service don't know what they are talking about. They got me to order a new phone with another 2 year agreement until I found out it was the service, not my phone. They are doing nothing about it. As much as I pay, I should be able to use my phone in my own phone. If I get on the highway, my phone is fine. This stinks!
