Only reception once you are more than 1 mile out from US RT 52 is on top of New Castle Hill. Otherwise nothing! Placing a tower on top of New Castle would open service to a huge area (including Rock Hill Schools)

Reception outage before OSU / USC game on Sept 12,2009. According to ATT reps on site at a large sales booth that ATT had there, the cell system was overloaded. Some non-smartphones were able to make call. No service at all for 3-4 hours on the iPhone. I felt bad for ATT sales reps at their booth there near the St. John's arena. Pretty hard to sell a phone when your reception is out. By the way, they did offer me an ID lanyard or cheap backpack instead!

Unfortunately, VERIZON has not made the decision to provide service for the Jewett - Scio - Bowerston valley. This makes it all the more difficult to attract industry to northern Harrison County. Apparently the tower that serves our valley is one installed by Ohio Power / AEP. Verizon should take advantage of it.

I have known that this area was poor with Verizon for quite some time since I'm everywhere for business. Now that I live here, I have called Verizon many, many, many, many times about poor service and dropped calls. They tell me it's a "marginal" area" and basically telling me tough luck. Hmmm... .looks like I'm moving to another carrier.
