Signal sucks in Vinton County... Nextel nothing around McArthur. Hamden about 4 bars. From the Vinton County line just north of 93 / 56 service drops driving south. Comes back closer to hamden. But I have Cingular as well where the Nextel drops I usually have Cingular signal. EXCEPT for 50W between McArthur and Londerry No matter what you have there is no service or very spotty you may get 1 bar... Vinton County SO deputies use both Cingular and Nextel, and are constantly having issues calling into the office. You would think one of these fortune 500 cellular companies would put a tower between Allensville and Hamden to help this dead spot.

Having Nextel coverage is an exercise in frustration. I have either bad coverage or no coverage at home in Hinckley, and I have no coverage almost all the way to work near 82 and Broadview Road. There are multiple dead spots all over Hinckley where there is no coverage what so ever. When I contact Nextel I am told that I have very good coverage. Stupid me, I thought having good coverage meant that I could actually use my phone and have phone service. Obviously, I am wrong. Good service according to Nextel apparently means that I send them money every month and then leave them alone until it is time to send them money again next month. No where in their understanding of good service do they include the USE of the phone service I pay for each month. Take an anger management class before you sign up for Nextel service. You will need it! Their customer service is awful. When you try to call to discuss the coverage they change things in your plan without your knowledge.When you discover the change on the next bill, they trap you into an extended contract to put the contract back to what you origionally had. It is worth the $200.00 fee to get out of the contract early rather than putting up with the deplorable service.

Just moved from FL where I had excellent coverage in the Tampa area. My new job is in Berea and I have no reception. I called T-Mobile and they indicate they are working on the problem. This is he only place on the west side that I have incurred a problem. Come on guy's get it fixed!

All of mentor on the lake has absolutly no reception with Verizon AT ALL! Any one who lives there should know this, if they don't already

Have contacted Verizon several times in regard to the horrible reception and multiple drop calls in and out of my home. First technician blamed it on the Treo so I filed another trouble ticket with the LG phone (same reception - NONE). I was advised by a friend of mine that works for Verizon that the technician will always blame it on the phone. I have no problem at all with either of these phones when I am at least a mile from my home. Had T-Mobile previous with the same exact results. I believe the tower technicians need to get off their butts and gitter done!

When opening a Verizon account in 1998, I was told they had the best network. Living in Cleveland Ohio, the reception was good. We bought a lot at Holiday Camplands in Andover Ohio in 2000, the phone had 2-3 bars and could make calls but dropped them from time to time. As of now in 2006 (with the new tower they put in Andover), my phone drops all calls. For the service to even work one must walk around outside. Verizon claims the service will get better and it's hard to get good coverage in rural areas. I have seen for my own eyes Alltel customers talking for hours with no trouble. I will definently be switching in March 2007 when my contract is finished. Alltel works great in Cleveland as well as Andover Ohio!

I did not have any problems getting signal until Cingular joined with A.T.&T. and supposedly raised the bar... Now I can not get any signal at all at my home. I have to go outside to the street to get any signal at all. And just as frustrating are the dropped calls. If I was not stuck in a contract I would probably go with another carrier...

Signal drops from 4 or 5 bars to 0 randomly, leading to most calls getting dropped at some point. Numerous dead spots throughout Columbus. Terrible customer service, with them trying to convince me to get a new phone (this is my fourth phone with them). I will be switching to Verizon when this god-awful contract is up in a few months.

While in the home, have no coverage. If you step outside you may get 2 bars in the fall / winter time. All calls drop!

Very few areas along the Scioto county and Adams County line have any kind of reception.
