No service. I can walk 500 ft up the road and get up 3 bars? It is only 50 ft higher in altitude.

Can't use phone reliably at our house at all. used to have Verizon, they let us out of our contract due to poor reception. We went to Alltel, now Verizon has taken them over and we are back where we were. Only time we can use our phones is when we are away from home. Verizon will let us out of our contract, but that doesn't help if I can't figure out who CAN give us decent coverage.

This is the WORST phone service I have ever had. Constant dropped calls in my home, no service along Lake RD. I am constantly updating my ''roaming capability" according to Verizon's instructions, only to have no noteable improvement.

AT&T's coverage in my area is so poor, I had to buy a cellular repeater and preamp in order to make calls from my home. This setup cost $630. AT&T does not offer 3G coverage in my area and has no plans to do so any time soon. Their nearest cell tower is eight miles away. I advised them that rather than spending millions on advertising, claiming they have adequate coverage, maybe they should spend the money building more cell towers so they would actually HAVE decent coverage. This company is apparently run by brain-dead morons.

Verizon reception is nonexistent. I had Alltel and every phone worked perfectly in and around my house. Now with Verizon I have to drive 1.5 miles up the road to get service. Verizon did a test and told me today that we are in a "poor service" area. Offered to let us out of contract with no early termination fees. Too bad I didn't know this before we spent $600 on phones that are now useless. I am going to try all of the other carriers one phone at a time and return them if they don't work. I hop I can find anyone as good as Alltel was. Also Verizon told me when they bought Alltel's equipment they consolidated some towers, sold some, etc. so that's why my service is gone.

We had a Kyocera for 5yrs. or more without problems. Once Verizon took over dropped calls ALL the time!, received messages next day or even 2 days later. Thought it was our old phone and bought the Gzone - same problems. Again we thought it may be the phone due to all the complaints about our particular phone. For the past several months I have contacted Verizon and they see no problems but have been willing to take $20.00-$30.00 off bill for all dropped calls. Also had Verizon employee come to the house and advised us we needed some type of reception box for $300.00 since towers were far away. BS! We are definitely taking our business else ware.

We moved to this area 3.5 years ago. When we moved here we had a choice between Alltel and verizon. We went with Alltel. We had great Service until Verizon bought Alltel and for some reason shut down the Bandwith in this area. I'm still not real clear on why. Can't seem to get a direct answer. something about Verizon being a monopoly and the FCC regulating how much bandwith they are allowed to have in this area. So basically there is no cell phone service in this area. I thought that that service would eithr stay the same or get better once we had to become Verizon customers. NOT THE CASE.

Unbeleivable... I am staying at the Inn at Ohio Northern University, just down the road from a major Honda Parts supplier I am visiting tomorrow, and I have ZERO SERVICE. This really makes for a bad next couple days for me as I have a ton of work / calls to make... . Good thing Verizon is getting the iPhone and also has lots of other smart phones... time to switch up... .

I called Verizon just today and complained for the millionth time. I have had Verizon for over 5 years and never had an issue until August 2010. Its awful the service and customer service Verizon has since acquiring AllTel.
