I have tried US Cellular, AT&T and Cingular. Inside my home I had no service and outside I had one bar of service. There are no cell towers within 12 mile of town. You would think that at least one of the carriers would put a tower in a town with a population of almost 1500 people.

Unfortunately my phone is too modern for this area. A friend who also has Cingular (OKC) has a TDMA phone (Nokia 3360) and his phone works at above location. My phone and Cingular service is from Las Vegas, NV -- I'm temporarily in Okla for elderly parent business and can't use my GSM service here and cannot get a TDMA phone that will take my sim card so I can use my phone here. I would have left phone with daughter in Vegas to use, but since my friend's Cingular svc worked here...

I don't get reception anywhere on 15th Street and I work in the MCI building at 69th and North Lakewood Ave and I have no reception all day at work which drives me crazy since I cannot text anyone or anything all day.
I am just north of down town OKC and tried the sprint service. I could not get reception inside my house and the phone kept saying it was looking for service. My AT&T phone gets almost full reception inside my basement and basically anywhere I go. So I took my Sprint phone back.
Reception is nonexistant most of the time indoors. And is only spotty outside. Having a phone is pretty useless when you miss most of your calls. On the other hand, my AT&T TDMA phone works almost flawlessly indoors and out in Chickasha and OKC... except for the dead zone down 44.

Terrible. I know this is sort of a remote area, but my roommate has Cingular and gets perfect reception here. I've notified T-Mobile, and expect they will never do anything, but there's about a 10 mile square radius here that you can't go even 1 mile while on the phone without the call getting dropped.
This phone gets no reception in numerous areas of the city. I've had the phone replaced and SIM card still very spotty service. It's a shame to i really like this phone, I guess I'll have to go with the similar Samsung.
The building is a dead zone unless you're within 8 feet of a window or a door. It wouldn't be so bad but Cingular analog and sprint customers can chat away as I look at a zero bar display.
