The reason why the dropped calls in that area is because of the electrical transmission lines running close to the railroad tracks. It clears up great after that going west or east. The problem now 5-16-2007, almost all outgoing calls are down with Cingular, statewide. The only outgoing calls that can be made are to other Cingular customers.
Must step outside the building or go to a window to get any reception at all. We're talking 0 bars in the building: can't make or receive calls or send or receive text messages.
T-Mobile is terrible with reception in Western Oklahoma. While on trips from Tulsa to Watonga, I can get reception until I reach the Watonga exit on I-40 where it goes completely dead. I get no reception in Watonga at all. I do not recommend T-Mobile to anyone who needs to travel, I lose reception in many other places besides Western Oklahoma.

Occasionally you might get 1 or 2 bars IF you drive very slow and play the pull forward--back up routine till you find that one spot you can get a couple bars. Shamrock is a small town, but still if you break down or have a flat here after 4pm don't count on your Cingular cell phone to help you out you're just stuck!
Yes, there is a tower there but access is restricted. My parents and brother live there but I can't call them from my cell without driving outside of town toward Lawton. I've heard they're building another tower there. My mom has a plan from Cingular and she can't use her phone in town.

I have had them since 1998, they said I would have service at my home on the map and on there may I did and I didn't. in 2000 they said not enough people live out here. They just builted a new school out here.So I think the people are here!2005. Then they were getting more towers. Well,2007 still no service. Coweta OK Well you go in and out on Hwy. 51 and downtown Coweta. So you can't talk you will lose them.
I show 4 bars on my phone, but when I dial, I get no tone, then after about 35 seconds, American roaming network asks for a credit card # to make a call. Verizon says I need to dial *228 to program the phone in this area, but there are no towers that will allow me to make the *228 call go through, catch 22, and no cell phone. Thanks a lot Verizon...
